Whitney and I had an amazing time getting to know each other. In fact we didn't stop talking from the moment I picked her up at the airport to the moment I dropped her off again! It was really wonderful! And lots of plans for 2025....maybe 51 new starts will be needed 🤣🙈🫢🤣

I was reasonably restrained - it could have been much worse!! I definitely need to stop buying for a while and stitch from stash. 2025 needs to be about finishing and fully finishing as the pile is bigggggg!!

The Big Stitch sounds amazing! I went to a retreat last weekend and it sounds like your venue was way better suited - we were crammed into a room that was not big enough and then with vendors and a coffee station it was just mental. Luckily for me I was with my stitching besties so was able to enjoy, but think venue plays such a pivotal role in the success of these events. - take care, Nic x
It was truly amazing! The space was just incredible. The venue does play a big part doesn't it but if we are with friends it makes it bearable! Happy Stitching my friend 🪡🧵❤️

Sally! Greetings from across the pond in Dallas! Loved, loved, loved hearing your recap of the Big Stitch! I had heard both the Caroline’s recap and it was so much fun hearing another take on it! I’m envious of you getting to meet Jacob. I haven’t had the honor yet. I’ve seen his 2025 SAL and am definitely going to stitch it! Evertote will be getting the pattern in soon and I’ll get it then. I, too, prefer stitching from a paper pattern. Just old school, I guess! I’m currently stitching my first Barbara Ana (Sailing Dreams) and loving it! Thanks so much for all you do and there’s no such thing as a too long video from you!! ❤️

Hi Sally! I enjoyed hearing all about the Big Stitch! I’m glad you had fun! I’ve looked over my Cinnamon Stars chart and ordered the floss I’m missing, so I should be all set for the August 26 start with you! You also inspired me to make an actual plan with my sixty starts for sixty! I kitted up 18 smalls and started a few of them.i should make it if I start seven projects a month until the end of the year! 😂👍

Fab review of Big Stitch! It was great to meet you ❤ you’ve filled in some blanks for me - I was also gifted a tote bag by Hazel but I had no clue who it was as we were in the middle of packing up (and it’s a whole other story too😅).
It’s weird, but Blackwork isn’t like doing backstitch. It is, but it isn’t. Just, somehow it’s nowhere near the stress/hassle/tedium. It’s almost meditative. Unless you’re doing one by Patchy At Best Co and they use fractionals. Fractionals!!! In Blackwork!!!!! Yeah…. #shouldhavestitcheditonevenweave
Also, I think we wish we could kind of re-stitch Quacker 😂 cos the quackalong sounds fun - have you seen Brom’s stitch of it from last year?
I have loved listening to other people's flosstubes about Big Stitch as so many other things going on and people that I didn't see or know about just added to the wonderfulness!
I'm still not convinced about blackwork - that will be a retirement thing I think 🤔🤣🤣🤣

It was amazing how the noise was not a problem. Such a good space! I've a plan to do Stitch North in 3 or 4 years when my daughter us off to uni and I can come without feeling guilty for leaving her behind 🤣🤣 Happy Stitching my lovely 😍🧵🪡

@TheStitchingOwl I absolutely agree. I had a good chat to myself at the Big Stitch that I have my dream of a beautiful daughter and I have to cherish her and our time together. The time will come when she will fly the nest and I will need to fill my time with more stitchy pursuits. I am not going to get jealous or FOMO of others who have different circumstances.
