I always come back here. It’s like a music hotel mix for me. Every few months I itch for this. And before I know it - my fingers type in the title in TH-cam. And I’m in. An hour of my life, an hour well spent.
Guess im back here again for another listen. 59:06 minutes of my life spent well. Great music for getting werk done.

This whole mix, gives me such a modern, more house tailored aesthetic Crystal Castles vibe. This mix is absolute fire.

49:50 - its like the ocean. that bassline is like warm ocean waves on a beach. The background voice sample is so airy.
7:45-8:13 feels like you're almost home and 8:14 is when you just walk through the door. Get it with it.
So i figured out why I like this mix so much, after listening to it for probably 24 times, the general aesthetic music theme is on the darker side because its got that post industrial/industrial vibe/electronic futuristic dystopian vibe, also many of the tracks are in a minor key (which is the best key in my opinion) - it does not shy away from this; however the tracks are uplifting many of the tracks have mids and highs that make me feel airy and light so in a way its encouraging and positive in the general sense. Also its faster maybe than 120 BPM, if I had to eye-ball a guess id put it inthe 125-130 bpm range. Once again, the bass lines generally chosen for the tracks played are scattato-ish and give a bubbly bouncy feel again feeding into the boppy positive mood - nice. I think the bass lines are key here - they are always driving staccato 8th notes/freq, amybe 16ths (I think). The tracks with vocals bring in the darker vibes that are in the dirrect contrast to the N64/16bit-ish driving basslines. The bass lines also remind me of the bass lines normally used for spacey trancey TV or movies - think startrek or old starcraft/starwars movies - kinda of those cheesy but actually really catchy bass lines - I think the genre is known as retro-wave now? The strings when added from the tracks give it a retro--lofi-house vibe (ex: see Saint Pepsi; whatever that genre is called now haha also listen to Crystal Castles - they are top in this specific genre, they make great music despite their weird personal histories). Also keep in mind, the spaces between the sounds in the tracks are just as important as the notes themselves, some pauses in the tracks allow the mix to breathe. Very nicely done. I hope it gains a lot more listens in the coming years on youtube! : ) Again, this is just my interpretation, others are welcome to add to this and expand on things I missed - I welcome more opinions please : ) Its always fun to see what others think
