The plastic elbow is a common leak where it distorts with heat and age. Chuck in a new thermostat while your there too. Use genuine VAG stuff the cheapo after market parts are terrible and you'll be doing it again after a few months.
@@PaulRansonArt thanks for that mate, yes in prefer using manufactures parts… looks like my hose is not standard! Will do re thermostat gotta find it first 😂👀
@@Jonbuildz - 🤣🤣 yes its tucked away down the front of the engine on the left as you look at the engine to the left of the dip stick. Housing usually OK but they can fail resulting in cool running and higher emissions and poor combustion. Check out the condition of the EGR too its a pig of a job right down the back of the engine. Pick up a cheap borascope to have a look at it in sit-tu. Theses are great vans so happy days
New subscriber here aswell stumbled accross your channel with it being the same van i was looking at on marketplace. so glad i didnt waste my time viewing it. best of luck with it and im looking forward to future videos just watching all your previous videos and im enjoyinh them keep up the good work :)
@@liamaltoft106 nice one Liam, they are mint vans though mate I just went in knowing I wanted a maxi save this has the potential at low cost to hopefully save it!! Done the same for my sprinter and it’s looking mint now!
Welcome to caddy world fella, have one myself and know them well inside out. double check those seats in the back from a safety aspect because they are supposed to be properly welded in to the floor pan of the van and normally are used out of a vw touran, those look like random seats just bolted in. Also at a quick glance pretty sure your caddy has been lowered and when lowered at the back they do what's called a axle flip but this can cause the rear wheels to sit forward in the arch which I noticed yours are doing and to rectify this you need what's called centralising plates to bring them level. What engine is in it mate?
Thanks for this mate I will take a look at the seats, they won’t be in for long anyway 🫡 … I’ve heard about this axel flip piece so will do a little reading up. 1.6 definitely got an injector over fuel I think mate! Video 2 dropping today 👌
@Jonbuildz anytime mate, I've gone through pretty much every nut and bolt with mine 🤣 so know them well, but I have the 1.9tdi engine and 6 speed gearbox out of a MK4 golf.. It wouldn't be a 1.6 if it didn't have a injector problem 👀😂😂 looking forward to part 2 when I get home 👍🏽
Be sure to hit that like, subscribe and drop us a comment… let me know how to improve the content 🙏👌
