  • Tank Setup:
Betta fish can be kept in small aquariums, but a larger tank is preferable (at least 5 gallons) for better water quality and swimming space.
Use a filter to maintain water quality, and perform regular water changes.
Decorate the tank with hiding spots, plants (real or silk), and gentle filtration to mimic their natural habitat.
    Water Parameters:
Betta fish thrive in warm water. Maintain a water temperature between 78-80°F (25-27°C).
Keep the water clean by performing regular water changes. Bettas are sensitive to changes in water conditions.
    Diet:
Feed your Betta a balanced diet of high-quality Betta pellets or flakes. They can also eat live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp as treats.
    Tank Mates:
Bettas are known for their aggressive nature, especially males. It's best to keep them alone or with peaceful tank mates like snails or shrimp. Avoid housing two male Bettas together.
    Behavior and Interaction:
Bettas are known for their interactive behavior. They may recognize their owners and respond to movement outside the tank.
Be mindful of their individual personalities, as some Bettas may be more territorial or aggressive than others.
    Health Monitoring:
Watch for signs of illness, such as changes in appetite, lethargy, or abnormal swimming behavior. Quarantine new fish before introducing them to the main tank to prevent the spread of diseases.
