Great Video but I think you made a mistake 7:07, You say "09" which is the listed code for 24hr supervision and will not sound an alarm, The correct code would be "08" which is Standard 24hr Fire and does activate an alarm. I assume that is why you have the light in the video because it was suppose to go off to illustrate an alarm action but it never did because the code was the wrong one. Great video though...it helped me understand what the PMG terminals are for.

@anees6695 this is difficult to comment on, reason being is the smoke in the video is designed to be used with alarm panels, however the smoke in question (4-wire models) is simply a set of dry contacts, if his plc uses that style of contacts then id say it would be ok.

What about adding a pull station or horn/strobe to the system?

Hello . This was a Very useful video . I just need to clear some doubt on this . I have seen this smoke detector installed at many systems wat it does is give alarm wen we hav smoke so y we just cant wire it up directly to our plc Analog input cards y do i need to hav a trip amplifier and barrier thing at my panel end?

dude it does matter witch positive you use the second one is the one that sends the positive to the next smoke if your using a series wire .. that one wire for all smokes in your installation...

The detector is upside down in the video, location of contacts is reversed, I think.

Dude, Tutoring 4 wire smoke detector install without adding or even mentioning an EOL power supervision module?.........and a ESL 449C definitely doesnt self- supervise its power
