He felt some love at their initial meeting, but it was partially due to some mind control that Armand is a master of. But upon Claudia's Death, Louis stays with him for a long time as an empty shell, going through the motions of life. As SOON as he learns that Lestat lives he splits with Armand.

Perhaps you can relate, perhaps not. For me, the experience of the 1st season was to put it mildly 'significant', lol. So much so, that I have to echo your: "Thank you Jesus!"
