Dear Teacher Lily, I have suggestions for this video which is put pinyin at beginning and the end with lighter pinyin so the beginnings learner are easier following this video.
Dieu Huynh Thanks for the suggestion. In this listening series each dialogue/story is played three times, with the first and this time without any Pinyin but the second time with Pinyin and English translation displayed. We did this intentionally so that (1) it helps associate Chinese characters with the sound (2) it forces student to not rely on Pinyin (3) students can see if they can understand just by listening alone, which helps a lot for interpersonal communication skills. What’s more, these listening dialogue/story is the Unit Review of our HSK 1 Course, all words and phrases are already taught in each lessons, so the practice is to check if students already memorized these vocabulary and sentence structures. Here’s a link to the course ChineseFor.Us
I Totally agree with you it helps a lot to quickly get at ease with the Characters...Your sentences display also emphasise on characters which is Greatt!...For the upcoming video, If each character could pop up just as you pronounce them it would be PERFECT to cement the speech pattern melody :) Anyway you are already the best out there!
Je Pense Donc Je Suis Thank you so much for such a nice feedback of the lessons! Highlighting the words and making it karaoke style would be great, unfortunately it would make the editing process over 5 times longer, making it a lot slower for us to put out new videos. So for right now we would go with more videos :D
@@ChineseForUsOfficial I think the way the video was done is great because we can get used to the characters faster. Most Chinese focus too much on using Pinyin and I think it really slow the process of memorizing characters. As it is a video, we can go back to the Pinyin part and take some notes. More reading comprehension teacher! You are the great!
Love the videos❤
Thanks! 😄
谢谢你老师郝李
