Thrift store DVD VHS Laserdisc hunting - Score a Ton of Horror Blu-rays!

- I am hunting the thrift stores for media item but also find a laserdisc player, 100 CD changer, a bunch of T shirts, and more! I visit the Universal Studios garage sale looking for The Last of US merch! I score a box of obscure Blu-rays from my friend Tim Vargulish that features titles from such production companies as Vinegar Syndrome and more!

I’m wicked jealous of that April fools day find ! What a wild find . Glad you were the one to grab it you must of been so excited ! I remember when I first watched it on tv I didn’t see the ending coming at all and I was totally invested into the movie i felt like I was fooled

Nice find of Yooka Laylee, it was a pretty fun game for the first 8-10 hours. After that it drops off when you have to revisit old levels just to grind for enough collectables to unlock the finals levels and boss battles. Still though, a fun game for the first half.
So i was enjoying it but only lasted like 4 hours. Then it just seemed to get confusing. I wish it was more straight forward instead of having levels within levels. Also some of the platforming seemed unfair because the camera isn't great.
Always look forward to your videos, even the Frankensteined ones! Lol! Those laser discs were really cool. It’s a shame the player didn’t work. Your friend Tim is pretty awesome. I wish I had a friend like that. Really interesting Severin titles. Hope you do a video about your thoughts on some of those after you watch them. Thanks for sharing, James.

I had a laserdisc player in the '90s, picture quality was great, but didn't like having to flip the disc over to watch the second half. Cool video Falcon.
Yeah that is annoying. I remember even some early DVDs had that. I had a Goodfellas that you had to flip.
Good video! As always James! That Laser disc player is quite a buy along with the Laser Discs. I have never seen a 100 disc player! Neat! I watched the Super Mario Bros. movie and thought it was good! And, I am over 60 years old! You got some nice DVDs and Blue=Rays from your friend! Nice!

Heck yeah! In the uk when I was a kid they showed jaws on tv and then the following week grizzly. I remember jaws being scary but grizzly was terrifying! Although it does have a very silly ending…..
Can't wait to rewatch! Also bears are scary because sharks are so easy to avoid.

Hey Flea Market Falcon, nice finds as always. Currently reading The Drawing of the Three and enjoying it quite a lot so far. Have you seen the movie "The Private Eyes" from 1976? Its a comedy movie from Hong Kong which I found on VHS in a Thrift Store last weekend and it was really great. Also give redline a try, its a really exciting and over the top racing anime. Have a nice week :)

Nice score on the Misfits shirt man and Soth Park I seen Girl School Screamer before wasn't a fan but you may like it it's a Troma movie I like most but not that I heard Candy Snatchers is really good Quentin Tarintino likes it a lot I heard he was at a party with Darrel Lynn Bousman and he lied to be cool in front of him said he seen but than got exposed he told the story once and Quentin called him out I do like his movies to just thought it was funny lol

I passed on some Laser discs last night and some romantic comedy DVD that was sold for $1 that Goodwill...... you know 2.29 per disc at the BINS. I found a LD remote a month ago. Super rare to find a remote!

Jennifer Lynch is David Lynch’s daughter. She directed “Boxing Helena” and many other very good films. She’s also an excellent television director that works constantly. Give her a shot, she’s very talented.

Cure, the criterion film you got is a masterpiece, looking forward to your thoughts on that. It's a mood, kind of in line with something like The Witch. I would like to see his other movie Pulse, Looks pretty good too. Nice finds, what did the broken laserdisk player go for anyway curious.
Awesome! The broken laserdisc hasn't sold yet but I have it up for $100 but will probably end up taking way less.

I'm curious how often you encounter Anime vhs, dvds or blu-ray here in the states because when someone is getting rid of their stuff, they see something obscure (like anime) they increase the price. I Kinda want to do what your doing but only for video games and anime.
I find them every so often but usually just a couple at a time.
08:15 How cool is that? Looks like they sell mostly Merchandise stuff. Before circus corona ruined everything as much as possible, I had produced tons of promo shirts for the theatrical releases of Universal. Were only distributed to cinema staff. For budget reasons, this type of promotion was largely discontinued. They are rare and gain their value over the years. Luckily, I still have a few boxes of them.
Awesome! I once found a promo shirt at a thrift store for the John Travolta movie "The General's Daughter". For whatever reason I found how random it seemed to be super funny and had to buy it.
@@FleaMarketFalcon I don't know how common this is or was in the US. For Germany, promo shirts were regularly produced for large productions. Minions, Warcraft, Jurassic World etc. Are easy to distinguish because the theatrical release date can always be found on the T-shirts. They were always distributed about 2 weeks before the cinema release and only to cinema employees. However, they are very rare to find on the market, although the produced amount was usually always in the lower 5-digit range. I suspect very few people realize the value of these T-Shirts.
