It is what the rules allow for. The center lock wheels cost more and are of course faster to change. S some series do not allow them to try to keep costs down.
Imagine driving this in the street and a cop pull you over saying: Sir, I stop you because I'm a mustang fan and this is a bad ass Stang....you can go now, but next time, I'll arrest you because this stang is not street legal....have a nice day..😃

Great video on a truely awesome car. Would like to know what the difference is between this Multimatic Mustang Gt4 and the Marc Cars Gen 2 Mustang V8 VR Racing that competed in the 2019 Belcar series. Exterior wise they look identical.
I want to ask you something why did ford locked the 2020 GT500 on 180 mph ....i was hoping an increased top speed especially with the 700++ horsepower why did they limit the ability of that monster while dodge hellcat and chevy camaro aren't limmited is there any advantages or something .......BTW really like your show keep going and don't stop🌹
I think that gearing is going to play a role in top speed. They want the car to be lethal on a lethal on a road course. I did find it interesting! Thanks for having my back!
The GT4-GT350 doesn't use the Voodoo engine as did the GT350R-C. It uses a cross-plane crank and is basically a 5.2-liter Coyote or a Predator from the GT500 without the blower; however way you want to look at it. As per the IMSA rulebook, the class is limited to 450 bhp. Ford hasn't exactly clarified the reason for not using the flat-plane Voodoo, but I'm almost certain it's because the flat-plane Voodoo is already anemic in terms of torque, and detuning it to 450 bhp to meet the rules would just make it worse. At this power level, a cross-plane crank is simply the better option. Even with almost 80 less bhp, the GT4 is still faster than the GT350R. lol
