- We visited Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania on Thanksgiving Day to check out the spectacular annual Christmas displays. The Christmas festivities last from November 18, 2022 through January 8, 2023 at Longwood Gardens. The theme for this winter holiday season is botanical splendor at its finest. This video is part one of my two part video series. Longwood Gardens is a massive horticultural garden with 1077 acres of land. Beautiful! Thank you for sharing this. We were there a few days ago, but my old eyes won't let me drive in the dark anymore, so we didn't get to see most of the lights that you have in this video.
Glad you enjoyed it! Longwood is so big that our legs got tired after walking through half of the Christmas displays. We are returning to see the rest in a few days. @@phillypurrfect Thank you - same to you! I know what you mean about the walking - it used to be my feet that gave out first, now it's my back. We take a lot of breaks on the benches. We did the Conservatory first, then got a yummy shortbread cookie to give us some more energy, and saw the trains, the DuPont house and ended with the open air theatre fountain show. I got a few pics of the lights by then. We left a little too late, so the drive home was difficult. Will not do that again - only daytime now. We love it there - have been members for several years now. I'm looking forward to your part 2!
We need to visit the conservatory and the Dupont house next. We have been members for several years and truly enjoy their beautiful displays. Driving at night is pretty dangerous especially when the weather gets cold. I’ll be sure to capture the gorgeous lights and displays in the remaining sections in a few days. Stay warm! Longwood is so beautiful during the holiday season. We are members as well and we love checking out the gardens year round. Did you see the dresses made by Drexel students in the conservatory this year?
I totally agree with you. Yes, we saw the dresses made by the Drexel students in the conservatory. Took quite a few photos of them. They were absolutely gorgeous!
@@phillypurrfect they were both stunning. I thought the dresses could be something you see at the Oscars or Met Galla.
So many people were lined up trying to take photos of the beautiful dresses.
