- Last Easter weekend, Harvey and I started out Saturday with breakfast in the garden which was the best way to start the weekend! It was beautiful weather so we spent all day in the garden, I read and Harvey made us a bench! The next day I went for a morning walk, baked cookies and then was well and truly exhausted. I've not been feeling quite myself all week this week and that feeling of being a little down started on Sunday, so sorry I didn't end this video properly. I hope you enjoy it anyway :)

almost... Jonna doesn’t cook flesh... which helps with her gentle vibes. If you watch many chill, calming channels most don’t, it really takes away from the ambiance (fairyland cottage, girl in calico, for example)
Queenly Fanatic I’m sorry- how does how her eating meat have any impact whatsoever? Look deeper than just what you see on the outside! Both are beautiful women who have a deep love for nature and for the outdoors. They both appreciate the little things in life and portray it so well in their videos. They’re both so different yet so similar!
Queenly Fanatic It takes me aback sometimes too, but I am grateful Athena shops local + small. I’m vegan but I think there are multiple ways to be good to the earth and Athena is certainly doing a lot of them. I just fast forward her bits that feature animal products 👍 We need to be kind to one another, especially now 🐕🐓🌿🌍

Lovely relaxing video the cherry blossoms look good this time of year and we have the time to really enjoy nature at it's best as nature seems to be coming to us with us all being so quiet.

As usual, beautiful video. I love getting back from my morning dog walk and settling down with a cuppa to watch, sets the weekend off to a great start and I always come out feeling inspired. Which means a lot in these often uninspiring times.

Just beautiful Athena, I'm absolutely loving these homely videos and it's great to get to know you a bit more. I was in the process of moving from the busy city to a country cottage in Northumberland but unfortunately covid has stopped us for the moment so I am just living vicariously through you until I get my peaceful rural home too!
I do have a request: I absolutely love hiking but I am horrendous at reading a map. I've tried to learn multiple times but I just can't understand it, and it means I lose my independence as I always need someone with me when I walk. Would you consider making a how-to map reading video? Maybe just talk us through how to do it, how to plan a route and then maybe use a local walk to show us how you use it in action?

It’s not always this idyllic I promise! I just want to make videos that make people feel calm and relaxed. I work 9-5 during the week and have had my fair share of difficult days during the lockdown. I hope you are doing ok 🙏🏼

Please tell Harvey to get some PPE if using a Chainsaw, cutting at that angle if he had a Kickback it could of hit him in the Jugular and that means game over. I also live in a Cottage/small holding and frquently use Chainsaws but absolutley never without protection. Nice Vid.

What was in the second jar you used with the oatmeal? The video was moving too fast to catch, (despite rewinds), I have recently discovered a taste for oatmeal. I must be getting old.
The bench looks great Harvey, will look even nicer when it has aged a bit.
The blue bells have sprang up in my lawn, a shame to have to mow it. I like walking through blue bell woods, they make for great photographs.

How did you make that porridge
I got a suggestion appear when going between your videos (which I love). Initially I thought it was you training on a bicycle when you were younger until I saw the name and realised it must be a relative. She looks as though she could be a sister with her looks, her voice is absolutely identical.
Possibly my younger sister who is a cyclist ☺️
Never met an Athena. I was stood next to a woman called Phaedra once in WH Smith’s in Bangor (Gwynedd). Her partner called to her and that’s how I know she was called that. It was a big deal for me to be that close to someone that posh. I reckon Athena out-poshes Phaedra though! Not much in it, but I think you pip her to the post. I knew a Rosamund a while ago. That’s as high as I’ve ever got in the friends-with-posh-names stakes.
While I’m here I may as well mention I do woodcarvings. Done a few dog ones. I don’t do it as a full time job, although I might like to one day. Check out my Instagram if you have a mind to: bright carvers workshop. Maybe even spread the word.
My parents cycled around the world and named us all after places they visited. I’m not sure that is exactly a ‘posh’ thing to do, they were just dirtbag travellers who loved the places they visited! I will check out your wood-carvings 🙂
Athena Mellor oh wow! Your parents seem like superdupertramps!! 🙌 if my parents had been of a similar knit I’d have just ended up being called Beddgelert or something. Not the most adventurous types I’m afraid. Although my dad was from Connemara. Settled for a long staycation in Snowdonia then. Could have done a lot worse though!
I wish I was able to meet people like you where I live, it's hard to find friends with the same values and interests...nature, baking, loving life, climbing, this is all me! I find it very hard to connect with other females when being so different is almost considered weird. It's a shame that there's more that care about external factors such as make-up, nice things and luxuries instead of the simple things in life and just simply being alive. We are a rare breed :(
To enjoy that bench I think you'd need to have a funny-shaped bum.. :)
