I love their story, but I'm gonna put in my opinion and say I disagree completely with what she's trying to inform people about "Cannabis harm reduction". Tripping out on cannabis is a very rare experience and when it does happen it's quick and doesn't occur again, the trips also don't excite more dangerous psychiatric illnesses that someone tripping could get hurt from like other heavy psychadelics, tabs, pills. If she's speaking solely on high-dose recreational users I do agree it should be mentioned thoroughly to anyone before consuming, but the majority if people use cannabis to actually embrace that third eye feeling that she mentioned as as negative. It's also vastly less powerful of a trip than the recreational psychedelics people use daily.
Holding in your hit does in fact get you more medicine to be absorbed. Contrary to the theory that most THC is absorbed within a second, there is a large amount of un-absorbed smoke/vapor that is still circulating in the throat mouth and center area of the lungs. About oxygen loss--does holding your breath underwater when you're swimming in the pool deprive you of oxygen? It does not. The Huberman guy as I've seen in the past parrots nonsense about cannabis similar to the Reefer Madness era, please don't listen to that man as this channel should be embracing what this plant has to offer for so many people instead of pushing old stereotypes. I'm taking it that they are mainly recreational users.
In terms of tolerance breaks-- most people using this plant for medicine (major depression, OCD, anxiety, PTSD) rely on it just like a bottle of Prozac from the doctor to simply get through each second of the day.

Also I can't stand people parroting the oxygen deprivation BS they obviously haven't tried this versus something like swimming. I find people just repeat what's on google
Forgot to finish my point about Tolerance Breaks not being necessary: Unless you're a recreational user looking to purely boost your high and tolerance for days like a party or event, a tolerance break for a daily medical marijuana user will 9 times out of 10 lead to a bad time that wasn't exactly necessary, including withdrawal symptoms as the body and mind has depended on it (just like if you were to be without something for a month or cut any other big positive habit out that was mentally making you feel better, for example telling someone who loves coffee to immediately take a big break from it suddenly. Or, even someone addicted to their cell-phone to stop using it for an extended period of time.) Instead changing up consumption methods, slowly reducing intake over time, being more responsible about dosing or balancing the high-THC with other cannabinoids is the better choice here.

I would say I micro-dose cannabis. I smoke 1/4 of a bowl a day and some days I skip completely. Sobriety is a good thing. Cannabis is a wonderful medicine but should be handled like any other substance. Its really nice as well because when I want to get zooted it takes so little.

Im still atheletic at 25, almost 2000 on tes on last blood check, and better stamina than some athletes. I smoked on adjustable filtered joint from cardboard before i smoked a blunt. Huberman is full of it too and chooses his words wisely with what he says. There's no studies showing cannabis consumption is harmful in any way, smoking anything isn't good for you and does harm on it's own. Smoking plant matter is different from consuming thc. I can't find any negative studies to do with vaporising the flower. Even studies that say the brain changes somewhat after constant use show it goes back to "normal" after, and no one has ever said the change is bad, its just different. I know stoners are much more open minded and conversations go further with people who have tried the plant at periods in their life. I try to find anything negative but can't. Cannabis is man's companion plant.
Another amazing podcast. I grow together with my wifey. I taught her and she brought new ideas to our future grows. I love seeing this all become the normal way of life. Smoking just doesn't get me anywhere near as high as vaping with my GVG. Not as good flavour either plus vaping is aromatherapy and actually feels good on my throat.
