I’ll be keeping an eye on this one! As much as I love my Linnstrument, Launchpad and other grid controllers, I often miss the weighted feedback of a traditional keyboard. This is a very interesting development for sure.
Lovely, I do hope they include a Tonnetz key mode. That system is so easy to play and currently I only know of the Akai Force that has it included in it's notes mode.
Very nice. Reminds me of the isomorphic Janko keyboard layout, although the rows of keys on that are offset half a position which makes things even more ergonomic to play. I actually designed and built Janko converters that can be put over a conventional keyboard myself. An ideal version would even add XZ touch sensitive pads per key. Very complex to build though. But as it is this is already a great idea. The feedback aspect of playing real keys is often underestimated, even having led to a conventional keyboard layout designs with no such feedback at all, like those on Buchla synths and Arturia’s Microfreak. Nothing wrong with those if you don‘t know what you are missing but ….. 😁
It's beyond me how they could miss the most obvious problem with this product: It's too bulky, more precisely, the playing surface is too high to play it easily when you're sitting at the desk.
As someone who was assigned to talk about this product the answer about „sound engine” was a non#answer. Like nothing he said was about sound engine besides it’s a Linux based gear. It does not build a confidence it’s something interesting and not some simple Linux plugin running on raspberry Pi in a super bulky box
I wonder how much the weighted keys are a hinderance in regards to triggering clips and playing drums. It's inherent to weighted keys their repitition is slower than non weighted keys, let alone rigid drum pads. There is a reason why the pads on controllers like the Push and Launchpads don't give too much way and are kinda rigid the way they are. Imagine triggering Ableton clips on the hammerweighted keys of an acoustic piano or masterkeyboard - it's possible, but the response is too slow to be precise.
I'm surprised someone hasn't taken a basic 61 key controller and paired it with an internal mini PC with a custom software for loading VSTi plugins and mapping them to onboard controls. If he can sell this custom hardware for 1k on kickstarter, surely it could be done with a traditional midi keyboard at or for less cost. I think that would sell more.

Very cool and original device. Would love to try it. All the best for its launch!!
He was playing Clair de Lune 💟

The size might be a problem
99 bucks I’ll take it 🎉
Really only 100???❤❤😮
So interesting product. Respect for designer. ❤

It looks really cool. I'm excited to see what is possible with it.
So this is designed for dog paws to play - did I get that right?
ha ha it was like saying to a dog walkies when you saw that yesterday, I’m also intrigued
Great work hope its also gonna work for drums.

I think this is a prototype. But I’m guessing it has to be a little thick, to accommodate the weighted key action.
Cool! NAMm was so boring last year when I attended. I was searching for the quirky new things
You have to wear sunglasses playing it?
It’s rather chunky
If you've ever wanted to play synths on a refrigerator.
Curious idea, I think it's a really great idea but formally needs some work that hopefully the kickstarter can allow.
weird that they named themselves with a 4chan troll reference
Are they saying “Greek” controller?

Nice controller. Let's praise Connor McGregor for putting some dedication into midi controllers. ;)
The form factor is.... tall. The keys look like candy. I wonder what the price point they're going for is?
He mentions the price in the video.

This is fascinating. I really wish they would sort it out as a MIDI controller, too.
...it is?
Intro is overlong and irritating.
But those are videos of sponsors so I don’t think sonicstate can avoid it
It’s 20 seconds.
@moriyokiri3229
Yes, yes it is 20 seconds. But I suppose "sponsers" hard to be cohesive I guess.

Great concept. It's shape and size is very uncomfortable looking.
This whole long video had no play...and when it finally did, it sounded like a overpriced childs toy with too many cheap lights ...
My god is this a bad product
It’s a bit bulky
I was going to ask, ‘Why is it enormous?’
@@kierenmoore3236weighted keys added more I suspect. And it’s a prototype probably
