She can sing (see MM videos, such as furusato, her version), she can dance (see live performances of Kanashimi Twilight) and her personality is so cute (see interviews where her accent comes out). On a talk show, they would joke and bicker with the hosts, and looked like they actually enjoyed themselves. With the current members, more often than not, you see them just staring at the cameras and laughing mechanically when they think they should. You'll even see them glancing at each other like, "Is she laughing? Is this funny? Should I laugh?"

They are playing LA this weekend, they have never gigged stateside at all, in fact they haven't gigged outside Asia. Aside from a dvd shot of them on vacation in Hawaii, they've had no activity in the states

The most vocal and most visible fans are indeed men in their 20s and 30s. (Men like young, beautiful idols? *gasp!*) They're the ones closest to the stage at every concert, so they're the ones who show up on the DVDs. It's like the mosh pit at a hard rock or punk concert. There are plenty of other fans, however. Many of them don't go to concerts, and the ones who do usually sit up in the balconies in what's called "family seating." You don't see them, but they're there.
