Flew over Blythe Bridge many times in my T45 Swallow and T49 Capstan gliders 1967 to 1971. A young member of Staffordshire Gliding Club based at nearby Meir aerodrome. Left the area in 1971 for work in Yorkshire , Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol then London and Essex. Still miss the old place. John . FAI /BGA 51417 25/08/1968. What a poignant video as 55 yr t remember growing up in Blythe Bridge in the 70s . Twas a lovely village back in those days , i remember the jubilee garden by the train station , playing in the brook . How it has sadly changed it feels .

I'm so proud when I see the beautiful Victorian station vandalised and replaced with something that can only be described as an eyesore.
I've lived around Blythe my whole life. Not a huge fan of how it has changed. That's progress, I suppose...
