Hi Nate, I have played guitar for 25 years and in January decided to start leaning the piano again having failed to do so on many previous occasions. I found your site and have learnt 10 songs start to end that i can play from memory without any written notes. Your style really works. Thanks.
Thanks, loved this one! I also learned Ripple, Wild Horses & Imagine thanks to you😊 would it be possible to have a tutorial for "Brain Damage" by Pink Floyd in the future:)? Love you for all the joy you brought me through music❤
One of my all time favorites, so when you told me a few weeks ago you were filming, I’ve been waiting anxiously . I actually downloaded some chord charts a couple weeks ago on this song and started practicing so waiting to see your version. Brandi, You’re a Fine Girl is my next attempt.
Thank you very much for your great tuto! ... another good song using all the major chords of the scale just like you mentionned it with I am the walrus! ... another great tuto of yours! ...
Im so glad you did this one, Nate. You released so many great tutorials lately. I have a backlog now. Im still working on "Desperado" but cant wait to tackle this gem
hi Nate it's always a pleasure to learn new songs with your tutorials and hear you singing of course ( your whistling is so funny: you don't even do a "O" with your lips ! ) Thanks a lot for your time
Yo Nate! i've learned a ton from your channel (let it be, the weight, knockin on heavens door, i love you so, etc.) and just wanted to say thanks, i never leave youtube comments tbh but you're the only reason i know any piano, just wanted to say thanks and ask if you'd ever consider doing Float On by Modest Mouse, there's not really any good tutorials and it's my all time favorite song, thanks for continuing to make great vids!
Hi Nate. Thanks for the great tutorials. They are excellent..very thorough and clearly structured. Would love to see you break down Manic Monday by the Bangles and Sometime in the Morning (The Monkees)
Hey Nate I have really enjoyed your tutorials, they have helped my piano playing a lot . I have been playing piano since the 70s, but a learning new things every day, thanks to the way you teach the piano. I write and produce my own music also. But I have a lot to learn about the piano. Could you please do a tutorial on Elton John'S "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me " Thank You Rick
Hey Nate!!! Great choice of song 😄 another amazing tutorial. Easy to follow as usual. I like when you mention those quarter notes:)) You have a great step by step easy approach. Awesome play through!! 🎶👍
I completely agree. The breakdown into quarter notes makes the rhythm so much easier to grasp. And starting simple then introducing the rhythms once you have mastered the basics is a great way to learn :)
Love all your videos! been playing piano for 4 months because of your content! could you please please do a tutorial on Elliot Smith - Lost & Found (Honky Bach) even a simplified version as i cant find a good tutorial anywhere on it and its such a beautiful song thank you keep up the good work
Hi Nate, I'm already 50 y.o. and I just started learning playing piano (keyboard) a month ago, self taught from zero knowledge. And proud to say that I can do 2 songs now from following/watching your videos alone. Just want to know that you helped me and continue helping me a lot to improve it. Thank you so much. Zhooel here from the South of France. p.s. Please do the song Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx. I'd be very grateful if you do so. TYVM.
Hey Nate I’ve been watching your videos and they have help me learn the piano and I thank you !! I’m trying to found out how to play all by myself by Eric carman and I can’t find any tutorials on how to play it could you please please make a tutorial on how he played it or how to make it sound like how he played it cause it’s such a good sounding song
I adore your tutorials, you’re so clear and easy to follow! Would you consider making a tutorial for “we can’t be friends (wait for your love)” by ariana grande?
Hey!! I saw your old video on how to play between the bars by elliott smith and i was wondering if you would make a tutorial for pitseleh by him? (the main part starts at around 1:45 in the song) Thanks for reading :)
Not very familiar with the last bit of music you’ve been doing but this one is cool. I’m still waiting for Ben Folds and/or Something Corporate tutorials :P
Absolutely...it's been high on my list for a while. Honestly I've been procrastinating because the piano part is complicated and I love the song and want to do it justice. I'll probably get to it in the next month or two.
I do agree that the piano part is difficult. Honestly, it is probably above my skill level at the moment. One thing I do enjoy about your teaching approach is your method of building songs up from a basic level up to more advanced techniques with more difficult rhythms or fills. I like that Im able to learn a song and come back to it later and put more polish on it. Once again, thsnks gor sll your inspiring videos
You really really really need to cover say yes by elliot smith. i wanna learn that song so bad, one of the few songs i am able to sing really good. Otherwise i am a shite singer.
