- The series finale offers a heartwarming gastronomic experience in Imphal that isn't just about the delicious food.
On the last day of our Manipur tour, we aimed to have lunch at a specific spot. However, a private event for a toddler was taking place right across from our intended destination.
Driven by curiosity to witness the local culture, we approached the hosts and were blessed with an immensely touching gesture from the family. They warmly welcomed us to be part of their celebration and even permitted us to document the experience.
The feast was the best and it enriched us with a deeper understanding of the local cuisine.
Watch till the end to immerse yourself in this cordial, gracious and heartful encounter.
**Despite the ongoing ethnic conflict in Manipur, we made a conscious yet hard decision to proceed with our food video series from the state which was filmed between 30th Jan and 3rd feb 2023.
Our intention was to showcase the incredible warmth, love, kindness, camaraderie and enthusiasm we encountered during this immersive visit.
It's essential to acknowledge the complexities the state is going through, but we firmly believe in highlighting the genuine goodness of the people whom we met during this wonderful journey.
Throughout the five-day tour, we encountered a heartwarming display of hospitality, generosity and harmony. We want to reassure that our approach remains sensitive and respectful towards the ordeal being faced by the people of Manipur.**

I couldn’t stop smiling throughout the length of this lovely video showcasing our rich food culture and traditions of our Meitei community of Manipur. Thank you Delhi Food Walks and Living Manipur.
Even though I am a Meitei, I spent most of my formative years outside and so I didn't know about my own culture in deep detail.
After watching this series, I am just blown back by the details!
Just the way you are supposed to eat the food in a specific order. Like you have the alkaline food before you have the acidic food.
It's almost like a Japanese sushi restaurant, where they slowly build up the meal in a particular order.
There's nothing random. Everything has a place and a purpose.
Do u junglee meiteis have culture😂😂😂😂😂
@@rajdeepsharma9005 I didn’t know how illiterate and ignorant people can be until I saw your comment 😁

Meitei is one of the scheduled language of India
Manipuri Ras Lela is one of Indian classical dance
And according to great epic Mahabharat , Arjun married to princess of Manipura Chitrangada and their son name was
Babruvahana ,as per promise Arjuna did to King Chitravahan ,he left his wife and son in their maternal kingdom
And Manipuri ( meitei) culture is vaishnav culture
I miss Manipurs traditional food 😢 it's the world best food,😋😋😋
The whole series have shown to people outside Manipur why and what we are fighting for ? The culture tradition and the diversities of Manipur..
No one has ever done this insight to Manipuri cuisine thanks for exploring and showing to the whole world Ammo has to be one of the best guide I’ve ever seen in youtube for Manipur due to his knowledge
Dil ko bohot sukun milta hai ye videos dekh ke... This is called real food vlogging... delving into the depths of cultures across the nation and not just showcasing fancy places and cuisines...

We had the meal at a community centre NOT at the temple 🙏🙏🙏
Next time you must try vegetarian feast, prasad prepared in temple. You will find lots of vegetarian dishes there. That will be another experience. Thank u very much for exploring Manipur.
Very much appreciated. I think you should pin this comment, sir. 🙏

You should!
Local tourist guy is too well equipped, his explanation is too good
What a wonderful series. You have correctly described Manipur about its diversity, warmth and love.
Thats one difference of many between Hindus of north and east India. For east Indians fish is part of our culture and is also considered symbol of plentiful and auspiciousness.
Hinduism ain't like Christianity or Islam
Actually only few principles are same everywhere among hindus but they are largely influenced by their culture and nature worshipping thing.
Hindus from north and south have day night difference among them too even their main festivals too.
Awesome Show.. Luxurious food.. What a culture.. Wonderful Anubhav ji and Ammoji.. 😊😊👌👌

Sapra ji, this whole Manipur tour was the most well documented food and cultural journey I had every seen anywhere. Thank you so much for bringing lovely Manipur culture to us. This last video was just so emotional. I am really sad that the situation in Manipur is not the same as we see through your video currently. I really hope the thinks get stable again. I would like you to take us through your video into Manipur once again in the near future :')

Every state has its own culture it was big treat for me to know about Manipur.in our maharshtra bramins are vegetarian and the mudan is done we call that ceremony as munj or upanayan.same rituals r followed as we have in our weddings except bride...bt I love this video thnx...
Lovely! Hindu living is so simple and elegant. Everywhere they're the same. That salt in the end though, oh God, how attentive to cleanliness. I wish the same cleanliness was followed outside the temple aswell.
The feast was not in temple
80% of meitei is not hindu
The temple serves only 100% vegetarian food
Thank you 😊🙏🏻🕉️

First, the fish based feast is not at the temple.
Second, in such a feast one cannot get up and leave after eating has started. He/ she has to sit till the end.
This guy looks humble and genuinely enjoying the traditional cuisine of Manipur. Love to see a non Manipuri appreciating our culture. Love from Manipur.
