John, actually that made a lot of sense now. I have been finding melody notes in the key of G for a little while now. But didn't know how to apply this in another key as you did. I am greatly anticipating the next installment.

Thanks, John, for the lesson..I've seen(heard) banjoists play in this key, and they incorporate licks as (almost) easily as in the key of G. A lot of folks sing in this key, so I'd like to become proficient in this key.
@@JohnBoulding thanks for the reply, I knew it was a RK but wasn't sure what model??? I have a 75 fe but I love the neck and headstock of your 36! To me that "Gull inlay" is one of my favorites that you don't see a lot of, everything seems to be either Heart's and flowers or flying eagle! But this pattern makes me always think "pre war"! Lol
@@jbcurdog72 yep they offered me the RK-75 FE but I am burned out on that look after owning so many necks with that pattern. All the Rks from 35 up have the same pit assembly anyway so the 36 has that cool coke bottle vibe and the same guys as the 75. I've tourd with this banjo and done lots of studio session jobs and it records like a champ.
