The M3 on tracks I've seen is faster than his but the facelift with the revised suspension betters the M3.

@@roskataqv Lexus added a mechanical rear differential on the 2010+ ISF. That was really the biggest improvement in lap times and performance. As for the suspension, they just made it softer for road comfort which I don't think attributed to improved times. I don't think Kiwi's car is a 2010. It seems like an 08/09 model with the open electronic diff. You can easily bolt on a rear differential on the 08/09 models from an LS460 or later model IS350 sedan.

It all depends on your settings too. If you have open diff = sport mode and hold traction control button until both traction and VSC lights are on. This will turn off all aids except elsd which will at least "mimic" a real LSD and give you some slides. Don't do the pedal dance. If you do "pedal dance", that will disable absolutely everything including eLSD and it's a one wheel peel from there. If you want more slides, other drift stuff like lower grip and higher pressure on the back applies. You would be shocked what tire pressure does to grip in the back. If your tires are very sticky, you may want to go up to 4.5 bar cold. If you want to actually drift, no replacement for diff lock. Either weld it or get proper 2way LSD. Torsen is ok bandaid option if you don't want to do some hardcore drifting but won't be match for proper 2way. Still million years away from open diff.

Get fully synthetic oil to solve the oil temp problem. Do all the bolt-ons except the airfilter (dont trust them in dusty areas, mayb i need to see tests). Measure your gains. Theres more hidden power from that engine. Mine has an xpipe and freeflow system and exhaust. Best tyre size configuration 245/35 fronts, 275/30 rears. My best is gear change from 4th to 5th wot, and a manual gear down from 6th to 5th in slow to midspeeds. It headbutts 285kph speed limiter! Enjoy 👍🏼

High oil temp is common for the ISF during heavy driving since it doesn't have a factory oil cooler. This problem was addressed in the RCF. It doesn't take long to hit 5 bars - especially on a hot day. Oil type won't reeeally change that. And anyone who isn't running full synthetic already should probably sell their car xD

    • @KiwiCarLife

Nah I personally think the idea of an lsd is overrated in powerful rwd cars. Sure it's nice to have but far from necessary because they already have plenty of power. In a lower power car like an mx5 or gt86 I agree it's necessary, and definitely a good investment in fwd chassis
