This season (2024) Liverpool have won the carabao cup and we had a championship club about an inch away from an FA cup final. Last season (2023) a prem club brought the UCL to Europe and all three relegated clubs stayed up. The season before last (2022) Liverpool were on for a Quad and bottled their UCL final and took the prem down to the last day. The season before that (2021) Chelsea won the Champions League in an all English final and Leicester won the FA cup, Man Utd also lost on penalties in the UEL final. The season (2020) before that Liverpool won their first title in 30 years and Arsenal managed a miraculous FA cup. The season before that (2019) we had an all English European final in both competitions, and a first UCL final for Spurs. The Premier League isn’t boring just because United are rubbish and the team you don’t like is dominating, it’s only boring in the sense that City keep winning (which no United claimed was boring when they went 6 for 8). In fact the title race in the prem hasn’t been the most exciting in a while for anyone who watches European football, the Serie A has been for a few years now, since Juve dominance came to an end. So the points you’ve said here and for a while aren’t really true
The relegation battle this season only existed due to points deductions and if Forest and Everton hadn't had them, Luton/Burnley/Sheff Utd would have been relegated months ago
Let's just ignore that ALL 3 promoted teams stayed up last season Let's just ignore that 2 teams are still in the title race with two games left And let's just ignore that 2-3 financial juggernauts are under threat of not playing european football next season Apart from that, yeah I guess it's boring...*sigh*
You only see people asking for competition when their team isn’t winning. United did it for two decades crickets, Chelsea 3 in 5 years. The PL is fine arsenal is only getting better so city won’t be cakewalking to titles. Bottom of the league like always is irrelevant and only talked about to drive home points
You could argue City already aren't cakewalking to titles, but so long as hateful loser fans of the other 18 clubs continue screaming "You bottled it!!!!!" at a club for having the low quality of losing ONCE in over four months, it's never going to feel like it.
How does the premier league solve all these problems without fabricating everything ? This is the natural way of how things are going currently and the PL should just let it be, you cannot ask City to be less brilliant because you want to make the PL more interesting, you can't ask PL teams to lose to the newly promoted teams just to make the league more interesting that's unfair
As an Ipswich fan I've seen my team get back to back promotions from League One into the Premier League and we managed to be one of the best teams in the Championship, but I think the Premier League will be alot harder.
The problem is teams like Fulham & Crystal Palace is, just stay mid-table, they can never push on. The risk is to great. Just look at Palace when they tried to change the style of play with de Boer. Vieria was gone at the first hint of relegation. But they never go for a trophy like the FA cup either.
United broke serval transfer records, but when Man City do it everyone cries. All brits think the premier league is the best league in the world, and where does that come from? Money… Swear there’s so many fickle British football fans in the world
It isn’t simply the bottom lacking in competitive balance I say…The middle teams are rarely competitive with the top as well..Teams like Palace or the Wolves are simply there, not being relegated or playing for anything meaningful…They simply exist, never changing or giving their paying supporters any reason to feel great…
While I still don't believe that you can buy a title, you can certainly buy a place in the Premiership, money is the difference, and unless someone does something to cap player wages and the ludicrous transfer fee's then nothing is ever going to change.

They have worked very hard with a very small squad and i am sure that even the money with which Shefield United, Burnley or Luton are going down with is more than Girona budget. Why is it so?
If you are here in 2090 I was here in 2024😢😊
Hello am here from d future
Every top league has a team that will dominate at one point weather its in the UK, German, Italy, France, Spain that fact remains its always the rival fans that have something to say and I'm not surprise his speaking out
It's been better in the championship for years real fans no plastics
Even worse than the 'plastics' are the clowns like you relentlessly banging on about 'real fans'.
Appreciate this video Mark, you'll get a bunch of crap for it and it's uncalled for. Your points are valid and I'm a newer fan to football and I see these same problems the more I pay closer attention to them that you brought up. Unfortunately I don't see much changing and football is the biggest sport in the world so I don't think the PL will care about "trying to get new fans" so... Hopefully, you with highest potential to be the beacon of resistance to make the league less boring can help move it in a direction it needs to go.
Every year, it will get worse. The more money goes into the premier league, the bigger the gap. Teams like Palace will never win the league.
How can it be boring when we see United and Chelsea struggling to qualify for Europe? The gap between United and the Championship is very small.
Swear forest on 29 not 30 points Luton aren't offcially relegated, I don't think
That goal difference is essentially an extra point.
Been one of the best title races in the last decade, you're a bot.
The Prem doesn’t need to do anything😂 the winners win and the losers lose
The Premier League has been nothing but exciting because of Man United. I watch my team and then I sit down to watch a comedy when United play
it reflects society the less you have there is no chance the elite allows you to move up
ABSOLUTE BRILLIANT MAN CITY KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK CITIZENS
I remember thinking the league was boring and pointless when man u were dominating.
The relegation battle this season only existed due to points deductions and if Forest and Everton hadn't had them, Luton/Burnley/Sheff Utd would have been relegated months ago
This is so dumb. Say they’re relegated and “the season is not even over” so it’s boring is absurd. There’s 1 game week left! 😂😂
It's just one season, if all three promoted teams get relegated for a few seasons in a row then i'd start talking about a big gap between leagues.
Let's just ignore that ALL 3 promoted teams stayed up last season
Let's just ignore that 2 teams are still in the title race with two games left
And let's just ignore that 2-3 financial juggernauts are under threat of not playing european football next season
Apart from that, yeah I guess it's boring...*sigh*
Never complained when Unted were winning everything and smashing transfer records. Its a cycle.
Basically he’s crying that his rival keeps winning it and wants the bottom 3 to stay up and 3 from our league to go down 😂😂
You only see people asking for competition when their team isn’t winning.
Isn't this bloke from Nottingham but follows Man Utd 😂
Teams have to step up to the challenge like Liverpool did, not this complaining about bullshit...😂😂😂👕🥇🏆🤫
Why would the premier league care about man city winning the title?? As long as they have their viewers they dont care.
We didn't expect Leicester to get relegated last season
As an Ipswich fan I've seen my team get back to back promotions from League One into the Premier League and we managed to be one of the best teams in the Championship, but I think the Premier League will be alot harder.
The problem is teams like Fulham & Crystal Palace is, just stay mid-table, they can never push on. The risk is to great. Just look at Palace when they tried to change the style of play with de Boer. Vieria was gone at the first hint of relegation. But they never go for a trophy like the FA cup either.
If you dont like the prem dont watch it
"The Wolves can go and compete against the Juventus, Atletico Madrids, Lyon" calm down mate
Clownbridge
Mark: “we’re becoming the french league”
It’s not like there hasn’t been a three horse title race and anyone can beat anyone
What a clown
Lets remember Leicester, vardy and albrighton coming for their 2nd prem medal 😂
United broke serval transfer records, but when Man City do it everyone cries.
All brits think the premier league is the best league in the world, and where does that come from? Money…
Swear there’s so many fickle British football fans in the world
Couldn't agree more on the state of officiating this season. Never seen a season so bad.
Goldbridge really thinks he knows a lot about football 😂😂
When United dominated the league was Mark saying United were too good and was a problem?
It isn’t simply the bottom lacking in competitive balance I say…The middle teams are rarely competitive with the top as well..Teams like Palace or the Wolves are simply there, not being relegated or playing for anything meaningful…They simply exist, never changing or giving their paying supporters any reason to feel great…
Who will win next year's PL?. And who will get relegated? We can all have a good guess how it's going to go.
While I still don't believe that you can buy a title, you can certainly buy a place in the Premiership, money is the difference, and unless someone does something to cap player wages and the ludicrous transfer fee's then nothing is ever going to change.
