This recipe tastes divine. I followed it completely but when it came to doing the 'Method' I must say that using a hand grater to scrub the cooked refrigerated potatoes with their skins was too labour intensive and the quickest way to take the skin of your finger tips! So I used a hand mincer with a coarse filter and the scrubbly lumps came out just right! Loved the two forks idea to keep it from becoming a mish-mash. I had no sour cream or creme fraish so used Greek Yogurt with a teaspoon of lemon juice and one of lime juice. Sprikled the top with hot paprika which contains chilli. Utterly wonderful. Thanks for providing a unique and refreshing new recipe. Oh one more thing - couldn't find the potato variety so used yellow waxy type - Red Desiree would work well or any red skinned potato.
Since chef said this was the "classical" recipe, I'd say: "You are, after all, the Sergei Rachmaninoff of your Potatoes Romanoff." That kinda works "ethnically" too! :D lol.
I'm irish, that is a steamed potato, i like to bake them with bacon grease rubbed on the skin or veggie oil no foil no poking holes in the tater , 425F for 1 hr., skin will be firm & not leathery, optimum temp for the inside is 205-212 F, best baked potato you will eat.
An old man once croaked Because he had choked, On potatoes he’d foiled and poked. They were tender as hell But he didn’t chew well, And now the poor bloke is smoked.
We made these for our Christmas party and they were delicious. We topped the. Off with some crumbled bacon...awesome! They were a big hit at our party. Thank you for the excellent video.

ALL the way past Alice and the red queen.
Depends. Have you seen Buckaroo Banzai, where all the bad guys are named "John"? This goes deeper than that.
Steve Rowley, so more than 8 dimensions? I can’t watch that many videos on a weeknight.
This is quite creative and tasty, so satisfying to watch, Chef John 😊 An Outstanding job as usual!
Kelvin's Kitchen how you watch the video so fast :o
You have such a friendly voice. I enjoy listening to you.
This goes in the Must Try library. My wife is excited. Thank you Chef John.
I love that the recipe is from a Mom in Buffalo! It’s one thing I miss from WNY...the food!!
I love this recipe 💚
I've made it a few times now..
Well, being Irish, we do love our spuds..
What potatoes did you use. And does the onion cook well enough in it. I’ve a family that likes the tastes of onion and not the texture.
"You are after all the David Hasselhoff of your Potatoes Romanoff"
Cuore Sportivo potato Romanoff
Chef John, you are a national treasure.
this will be on my table Christmas Day! thanks so much.
Oh wow. “You are, after all, The David Hasselhoff of your Potatoes Romanoff. “ 😝😝😝👍🏼👍🏼❤️
"Speaking of a large of hunk of meat " got me too hahaha.
Chef John waited so long to say it, I was afraid he had forgotten.
He should turn on his Romano.
Since chef said this was the "classical" recipe, I'd say: "You are, after all, the Sergei Rachmaninoff of your Potatoes Romanoff." That kinda works "ethnically" too! :D lol.
"It literally can't be too high" -- Challenge accepted!
I want to see that!! hehe
Now are we talking about the potatoes still here?
@@AirNikeNick23 Of course. Really, really high potatoes.
@@TechnicolorMammoth Baked potatoes, eh?
@@AirNikeNick23 I wish I could hug you in real life.
Awesome tips and tricks to what looks really yummy... and of course impress my family!!
Thank you for passing this on! Lovely.
I trust you because you are Irish!
Logan isn't an Irish name... I have my doubts about his potato expertise...
That's how I do mine..I never use foil..?
This guy's voice 📈📉📈📉📈📉
Getting heart palputations listening to this guy.
An old man once croaked
Because he had choked,
On potatoes he’d foiled and poked.
They were tender as hell
But he didn’t chew well,
And now the poor bloke is smoked.
This is brilliant and absolutely heart-worthy :]
I’m de moon 🥴
I want to laugh.... but I am sad about his demise. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
