Yes these are all my favourite patterns too . I have added a neckband to the Coco when I had a fabric that sat oddly at the neck and it sorted the problem , also gave it a slightly different look. Thanks for taking the time to do your Vlogs.
I haven’t taken the plunge and sewn with jersey yet. I have inherited an old serger but have only used it to finish seams on woven thus far. Thank you for the tips and reviews in this video, it’s brought me one step closer to trying a T-shirt pattern.
That’s good to hear I’m glad you found it helpful I’m sure once you try it, like me, you’ll find it not as bad as you thought it might be :) Thanks so much for watching xx
You’re welcome yes I was absolutely the same but I really wanted to make things I would wear more too! I’m glad you found it helpful thanks for watching xx
I can’t believe I haven’t yet made a Frankie Tee it looks like my kind of pattern. I’ll add it to my list for summer. Knickers sounds like a great idea for using up scraps x
I’ve just finished a Linden, really easy and fits well. Thank you for this comprehensive video 🙂 ...and I love the last one idea about using up fabric.
Very useful video and thanks for the mention of the Kirsten Kimono tee - I have just received the free pattern via email, all thanks to you! This design looks so great for summer and under jackets or cardigans. 👏👏💐
Great video thanks Sally. I am still very new to sewing with knit fabric, only made the coco and billie so far but am hoping to start making more patterns soon xx
Thanks for the video. Very useful. Love each of those t-shirt patterns. Just downloaded the 'kimono' pattern. Great. I think I'll give that a try today. Thanks. Looking forward to the next one. 😊
I've made A Frankie Tee so far but with long sleeves so am keen to try short sleeves, I also love the Freya Top with the mock neck. I've just subscribed to receive the free Kirsten Kimono Tee so thank you so much for sharing that information 💕
I love the Freya on other people but I couldn’t stand the tight neck on me unfortunately :( I need to try the Frankie. I’m glad you got the Kimono tee it’s a lovely free pattern. Thanks so much for watching xx
I learnt to sew jersey with children's patterns....even though the neck band and cuffs are fiddly because they are smaller it was less intimidating I found 😊
Hello Sally, a lovely selection of patterns & makes for jersey knits. I have just made my first Linden & love it. My first jersey pattern was the Grainline Lark Tee, I made a 3/4 sleeve t shirt with viscose jersey, love this pattern as it has four different sleeve lengths and four different necklines. Thank you for your video
I guess Im randomly asking but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the login password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
@Lachlan Josiah thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Thank you very much for these recommendations. Have you ever sewed with merino jersey? I have bought some in a yellow from an online store out of Aukland, because it was so pretty. And smooth, as it turns out.
@@SecretLifeOfASeamstress I'm seeing T-shirt patterns, and maybe I'll do that, but I was also thinking maybe a kimono robe. I guess the answer is that I don't know.
What size did you go for in the Jarrah.? It’s quite oversized but don’t want it too snug or massive ? My first knit pattern was the Agnes. I chose the wrong jersey and thought the neck was far too wide. I don’t really like that pattern. My favourite is the Molly top as it is relaxed and I sized up as SOI 😆
I went for a size 2 I think so the second size which is quite boxy but I like it. Yes the Agnes is a love it or hate it I think. I like it now but it took me ages to try it because I just didn’t think it would suit x
Hello! No I didn’t I used a zig zag stitch on my sewing machine. You definitely don’t need one to sew with knits but it does make it quicker and gives a nice finish 😊 Thanks for watching xx
Thankyou for the list and the neckband tutorials in description box. Very helpful
Thank you for watching I’m glad you found them helpful xx

That’s a great idea about adding a neckband and probably gives a neater finish too doesn’t it. Thank you for watching too 😊 xx

Great suggestions Sally! I have sewn my fair share of Molly’s too. The Kristen tee is a silhouette I love too and wear in summer all the time.

No I haven’t but it sounds as though it would be lovely! What will you make with it? I have some bamboo jersey to try x

Jersey makes scare me! Did you have a serger when you started with them? (I'm currently trying to justify purchasing one :-) )
