    thanks for the shout out, Nick! Great primer on some of the cooler bits from the cantina. Without Nick, the contributions of so many of the folks behind the scenes on that original UK cantina would be lost to time.

    Hey Nick, Bravo on your great work and thanks very much for sharing all this fascinating information from your involvement in creating Star Wars. For me the work you guys did on the original film has a special quality that is simply unique. It is as if there was a Muse behind the miracles you and your colleagues worked that so powerfully captivated us all in the theaters. This quality gives interest to every detail you can share and I'm so glad to see you here putting that information on record. I was one of the Lucasfilm employees who later fleshed out the names and details of the Star Wars world you created in guide books. There was so much for me to write about in my books, and I could go so deep into the imaginary history, only because the work you did was so incredibly rich in creativity. Thank you for your work and for sharing the history. Please carry on! -Salut from Star Wars location scout David West Reynolds

      SPREAD THE WORD PLEASE. To fund keeping these going we need viewers who watch multiple videos and increase our "watch hours." I have so much more to tell, but the Yt algorithm isn't figuring out the connection between videos and who to recommend them to. We need the traffic. Otherwise these will slow to occasional posts while I am occupied raising funds elsewhere.

    I always wondered how the toilet at the cantina looks like, considering the different types of creatures patronizing it.....😝

      Not a lot of room in there, probably a relatively small suction device.😳🤭

    Hey Nick, great video! Yeah, can't believe that these haven't been noticed. I do have a question for you...why were so few of these aliens in the cantina ever named? A large number of names that are now canon (via Wookiepedia) were eventually given to the characters by the design team of Decipher's "Star Wars Customizable Card Game" in the 90's.

    • @NickMaleyYodaGuy

      We were in a rush to fill the room. We made up most characters with no illustrations and gave them working names that we made up. In the script it was just a den of scum and villainy with no names other than "barman" or "alien" as they didn't know what we would make. When they started novels and comics and games, they needed more than that and added their own names not knowing the working names we had given them. Often there were different names in a comic to the name in Decifer... much was made up as we went along until Lucasfilm started cononizing characters with an employee just for that purpose

      @@NickMaleyYodaGuy That's pretty much what I figured. Plus, you guys probably never dreamed that anyone would want to know the name, full backstory, and every other minute detail of these aliens. Thanks for responding and what you did for all us! That scene holds a special place in movie history that will probably never be repeated.

    Dear Nick! Are you and Yoda planning to visit this year's Star Wars Celebration Europe?

    • @NickMaleyYodaGuy
      @NickMaleyYodaGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Andris. With so many Disney spin offs, they rarely invite behind the scenes personalities now, and don't allow us to do autographs if we attend at the invitation of exhibitors. I was in the UK last year to see my friend Robert Watts and so don't expect to be there for Celebration unless something extraordinary crops up.
