I made a simple leather band for my Apple Watch several years ago. I really like your design. One difference in mine. I like using a line 20 snap instead of the buckle. Faster on and off. Of course, it also means making a custom sized band for each person.
I am truly in awe of how much talent you have. I don't even have an apple watch and looking at this video makes me want one just so I can get a band like this for it! 😁😁😁

I caught this as I have a lot of nice watches but I avoid leather straps mainly as I like cuff and bund straps and no one out there does it the way I want one so this video made me think of having a proper go, if I do a good job I will up a video of it no doubt with one of my newly acquired watches and link back to you as the inspiration for having a go. The only company that came close to my likes is an obscure watch company called ESS who had a Submariner "homage" watch called a Military Royale on a super thick leather bund with big meaty buckle and I have this really nice grained oxblood hide piece I think would go so well with some of the beefier watches. Back in the 70's 3/4s and full cuff bands were very popular and you could get ones with studs on, tooling or other features and I remember my mum taking me down the market with my snapped canvas strap as was common for kids watches then and bought me a full cuff with pyramid studs on in a black thick leather and that lasted me many years til it fell apart from use :)

This was very nice! I wish I had on of those skiing machines you use to split the leather like you do! That would be so very nice to have… unfortunately, I’m just starting out doing leather crafting and that is way beyond my pay grade lol
