Surprising how none of the people doing these photo comparisons aren't using tripods or some other type of home made system that takes pictures simultaneously and at the exact same angle/position. Would take an afternoon to pull together some kind of platform that holds two phones side by side and take identical/simultaneous photos.
Sometime we do mount phones on a tripod to get the framing more similar. But in the case of the Pixel 5 and iPhone 12 it was easier to get the shot more closely by taking it one at a time.
Awesome video! Just some feedback when comparing two phones - you start with the Pixel 5 on the left and the iPhone 12 on the right and later swap the iPhone to the left and Pixel 5 to the right, swapping back and forth as you go along. By presenting the phone placements more consistently it will be easier for us to subconsciously correspond pictures to each respective phone. While you do note the device names each time, consistent placement would be better throughout the video when drawing comparisons.
To me I feel the pixel 5 picks up photos as you would see em in real life? Not all details like the clouds but seems like the pics are very similar how you see em with one's own eyes
What are you talking about. The iphone has mostly higher exposure then pixel and its color is more saturated. That is not how you see the image in real life.

Got to be the lisp
Weird question: does the pixel 5 also have this geo tag feature for üicture the iPhones have? I mean where you can scroll across the globe and see where the pictures were taken. Really curious about that. I like this kind of visualization
The best feature most android people aren't aware on the iPhones when it comes to photos are the Live Photo options, each Live Photo has a second before exposure and a second after exposure, fantastic if someone blinks or pull a face, you get about 8 frames to chose the perfect shot from
Really nice comparison 👍🏼
Apple has caught up to Google, and even surpassed them in some ways.
But the fact that Google has been using the same sensor since the Pixel 2 is impressive
@@SimEast yea
@@SimEast oh no doubt.
@@SimEast the Pixel 3, the 2 used a different one. I love pixels but the night photos looked better on the iPhone here? Weird.. lens flare and kinda smeared .. not what I get from my 2XL
Not in video. Iphone was always, and still is, king of video.
The Pixel seems more natural whereas the iPhone is more vibrant and contrasty. Personally I'd tone down some of the iPhone processing. Apparently there is a scene optimizer option in the settings somewhere too
Iphone 12 looks better
It should be iPhone 12 mini vs pixel 5 since they are the same price.
Agreed. Once we get an iPhone 12 Mini, that's on our list.
this seems quite biased. Why is it when you take a picture with the pixel, the angles are always off?
@@mahesh113322 not true. Check out my reviews for the Sony Xperia 5 II, Motorola Razr or the numerous times I've praised previous Pixel phones.
Jeffery Tanggau I did my best to have similar framing and be standing in a similar place.
Nice comp thx 🙂⛷️
But to be honest the zoom comp was senseless because u cant compare zoom stages just based on their naming but on their crop factor.
The iphone is clearly more zoomed in on 5x than the pixel on 5x ...
I kind of agree with you, but it was on our list.
Wait, did he just say Pixel 5 video was overall better than iPhone 12?
Yes, Pixel now has the best camera in smartphones.
@@rwyo83 Perhaps for photography (although I see that as a toss up) bit definitely not for video... heck the image stabilization alone sucks on Pixel 5
