I've never flown it, but I've flown a lot of 7.0-7.3, there's no reason at all this should be at the same BR as the Su-11 for example. Based on how they're just pinatas at that tier most of the time I think 6.7 would make more sense. If we really think the B-29 should be fighting mid-late 50s jets with missiles, make it the upgraded B-50 variant.
Bombers at every tier are just free kills. It makes me so damn mad that gaijin included bombers in the game without realizing what it actually takes for a bomber to do its job. Bombers never flew alone, they were always in groups of 6 or more. They almost ALWAYS had escorts. This along with the fact they keep reducing when gunners track and fire makes playing bombers in the game frustrating. What gunner is going to wait for an enemy to be within half a mile before they start looking at them? And closer before they start shooting at them? It’s so stupid. They want you to either fly defensively, or man the gunners yourself and fly straight while you get shredded. When I first started all I wanted to do was play bombers I wasn’t really interested in dogfighting. But as time went on, after getting killed over and over and over again before I could even get near a base, I lost my enthusiasm. Even after maxing out my bomber crew and hoping it might make a difference. In all honesty I believe Gaijin really have no idea what they are doing with this game, and just throw shit at the wall to see what sticks. Then try to fix what they messed up by doing that. All while only actually focusing on how they can turn the most profit.

If this was the case, b-29 would feel a lot better. The altitude at which they're spawned is also an issue in air rb. In air sim the gunners are mentally handicapped and don't start shooting until an me-262 is within 40meters
Before the contrails got updated, I could bomb 5 bases and be last in the match and earn a lot of sl and rp, it used to be a beast not even a month ago. Just take the 40x 500lbs
I have premium, and I went from over 10,000,000 silver lions down to 2,000,000 because I love flying this damn thing so much. I'm glad the repair price went down. I have a dedicated bomber crew for it where all my gunner stats are maxed, and the AI gunners do pretty well when I'm busy in my bomb sight.
They need to make the SL for a base kill at least 15k or else its not even profitable to use. Plus late game bombers should spawn at like 20k ft, or else everyone goes for the easy kill right at the start of the game. I dont even use my 5+ BR planes anymore, all they do is make me go broke
I'm glad they reduced the cost. I gave up with the B-29 when I was having to plead with the enemy team tot to kill me while I'm the last alive, climbing and trying to run out the clock
Still better than the B-57, even when up against jets. At least this thing has a bomb load that makes it somewhat profitable. The B-57 has an mediocre bomb load, no defensive armament is still too slow to be safe against jets, and can't even climb well. It's only good for naval battles and that's it.
It's a literal 1-1 copy, the only difference is the guns since the soviets didn't use the 50 BMG cartridge. Look up the story behind it, it's pretty interesting. Dark Skies did a video on it.
these are the same planes. The TU-4 was created from copies of one of the B-29s that will make an emergency landing somewhere in the USSR. So yes, the difference is only in weapons and bombs. As well as some details such as the engine. by the way here is the number of the plane: B-29 "№42-6256" .

Nah, I figured out how to beat Gaijins game. You have to research all the modifications. Then uninstall all of them. That way the B29 is way less to repair and you still profit a ridiculous amount. Gaijin is running out of ways to nerf silver lion gain. The only other thing now is to remove researchable modifications and leave the repair costs at the high end. Your move Gaijin

Just climb and then head to bomb bases when you reach 25k feet. Other planes will be slow by the time they reach you and will have no agility due to the thin air and from there you can easily shoot them down with

It's not necessarily p2w although yes there are some broken premium vehicles. Main point is just pay to grind faster tho, and even then it will still take quite long
because cannons are very big and very heavy, carry less ammo and are very expensive. B29s were still designed to fly in formation, so while 1 aircraft covered in .50cals is maybe not the best, having 40 B-29s spraying all of their .50cals at fighters is a whole other story.
There were tons of modifications gaijin hasn’t added, upgunned turrets (20mm, 37mm etc), however gaijin hates america if it doesn’t make money for them so they won’t ever add them im sure, don’t listen to anyone talking about IRL either, gaijin doesn’t balance off reality

It's not necessarily p2w although yes there are some broken premium vehicles. Main point is just pay to grind faster tho, and even then it will still take quite long
the funniest part is somehow im at tier 2 and i have over 500000 sl. i dont remember how i got it
dont know why they don't add the cannon in the back of the bomber instead of garbo 50 cals
because cannons are very big and very heavy, carry less ammo and are very expensive. B29s were still designed to fly in formation, so while 1 aircraft covered in .50cals is maybe not the best, having 40 B-29s spraying all of their .50cals at fighters is a whole other story.

Some B-29’s had a 20mm along with the 50’s in the tail turret, some 20’s in other turrets there was even a version with the 37mm in the tail station.

There were tons of modifications gaijin hasn’t added, upgunned turrets (20mm, 37mm etc), however gaijin hates america if it doesn’t make money for them so they won’t ever add them im sure, don’t listen to anyone talking about IRL either, gaijin doesn’t balance off reality
