An all round team combining skill power and speed. Never seen such a talented and to more awesome,Ronaldinho was also coming of age.
I still believe that Romario should've been on the squad for 1998. I know he was injured before the tournament, but he could've helped in the later stages. You had Ronaldo who was a beast, but come on Romario was a quality player.
He was ok by then. He said he was ready, but the Brazilian footbal federation didn't pick him due to internal issues (politics, envy, revange etc).
Blame Zagallo and Zico. Two envious flamenguistas
Rai and Ronaldinho should be also in this squad so it would be 5R ! Ronaldinho was just 18 but he could play !
I remember reading that R11 literally was playin a game a week later after WC started for club team. He would have relieved some pressure off R9 and been more deadly in front of goal than Bebeto. I remember being gutted when I found out he wasn’t picked it was so last minute.

The problem in this brazilian formation is:
1) Rivaldo dont pass the ball.
2) Because Rivaldo dont pass the ball Romário dont touch the ball.
3) Because Rivaldo dont pass the ball Ronaldo get the ball and run to the goal.
4) The formation need one player who thinks only to pass balls and not drible with the ball.
To solve this I remove Rivaldo and put Leonardo or another with the same skills.

O que não passava a bola era o Romário, mas ele já pegava na cara do gol, e perto da pequena área ele foi melhor da história do futebol mundial. Já o Ronaldo Fenômeno jogava com dribles mesmo conforme falou. Mas nunca removeria o Rivaldo, Rivaldo foi um dos melhores de todos os tempos. Deu muito orgulho a nação Brasileira. Foi bola de ouro, jogou nos melhores times da Europa. Foi um grande jogador. Em 1998 a seleção precisava do Kaka, mas ele só estava pronto pra encarar uma copa do mundo em 2002.

Because Rivaldo didn't use to pass the ball Scolari changed his position. So that was a good thing.
However, Leonardo was not an expert as a creative midfielder either. But his characteristics get his closer to the current 352's wingback.
Probably the best player for the role of creating (on that team) was Alex. Or the Lyon's Juninho.
