I'm admittedly such a huge Dax fan and listen to everything he does. This is by far one of my favorite podcasts he has done. You guys had such a great and fun repor.
@@dariantaylor6080 everyone can have their own opinions. You should go see a therapist if a youtube comment like this triggers you. You likely have some shit to work out.
Everyone seems to REALLY like him, I'm having a hard time warming up to him, I've been trying to get into Armchair for over a year now and just can't do it for some reason, he just rubs me the wrong way but it's so subtle I can't tell what/why.
One time I made a comment about the type of guest Rick had on his show but but interpreted it as a slam against him and he called me out for it. Months later he actually reached out to me and said it was all good. I freaking love Mr. Glassman a whole lot. Not just for his content but for his empathy and kindness and understanding of people who are fans who are just trying to figure out where we all fit in with this whacky weekly free entertainment.
I recently started with your podcast and I’m going back and watching some old episodes with people I like or am interested in. And it doesn’t matter how many podcasts I ear of Dax or interviews, this guy is one of the most open, interesting, and more dedicated to self improvement people that I’ve “known”. He also seems very humble and cool, which in Hollywood I’m imagining it’s not very common.
@@rickglassman Thanks. By the way, became a fan after watching your work on Not Dead Yet, absolutely loved your character’s arc and personality as I can relate in some ways.
We got a long ep 😭💜 thanks Rick. Also I know you probably were having a meltdown because of the technical difficulties …but I LOVED the live show. Definitely worth every penny
It's refreshing to see raw moments of mentorship in the comedy/showbiz community. Everyone needs this! Celebrities at times keep details about success close to their chest so the recipe to the sauce remains secret. Dax is not that guy! Great conversation. In late, but I'm a big fan of this podcast. Keep em' coming Rick!
I could GENUINELY watch Rick and Dax converse for hours on end every single day. I enjoy all of the TYSO episodes each week (honestly the ONE podcast I look forward to every week) but this chemistry is one of my favorites and it's captivating; a mix between a Ted talk, Mindvalley seminar, therapy session and an off-camera hangout.
MISS GOBLIN BETTY IN THE AD READS NOW???🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 she does a perfect job of comedically keeping Rick on track during the ads and has an amazing ad read voice. One of these days we need a full Betty interview podcast episode.
Best episode ever! The love between the two of you can be honestly felt, and the fact that you each appreciate the other's love is what makes it magic.
Yeah I thought Dax was getting a little impatient with some of Rick's weird lapses of awareness (always accompanied by acute awareness of other things, which things--and how--it's enough to hold your attention, admittedly.) I wonder if he really was 100% unaware that giving a wrapped present to Dax, and Dax opening a picture of his own half-nude wife and the mother to his beloved children. It's just a weird territory to be making jokes in, normally a good friend is very keen to make you aware they'd never touch your love, not at gunpoint, if the subject somehow arrives. Though in the best of friendships this can basically doesn't need to be said. My point is, it felt like a slight somehow, in a weird way. But then I guess he gets this present, and if you think about it temporily, the next person Dax sees is his wife, so it kind of... makes sense in metaphysical way; that after this moment the universe has gifted you another back at home. (That ones probably a little more acutely observed and I wouldn't assume Rick or Dax would have thought of that themself(ves).
Thank you for introducing me to the Bo Inside comedy special. So unique and amazing, I'm blown away. This is why I listen to podcasts for information like this.
"let other people brag for you" there's a really good quote about this, it goes "when you're good at something, you'll tell everyone. when you're great, they'll tell everyone"
I am so thankful I found out your podcast has a video format because I don’t think I would have been able to follow this conversation without watching it! 🤣🤣 Fantastic conversation and would love to hear more!
I’ll never skip thru a carpet/rug commercial on Rick’s show again 😂 knowing that he does them with his dad and it’s his dad’s business and how much he LOVES to do the commercials ❤ oh yeah, the guest is kinda cool too 😂
I think part of that is bc Andres is working w the tigerbelly team more now- helping out I think bc George had his baby. I say this as an assumption, bc they’ve done those same types of animations for over a year on Bad Friends and then since andres started working and helping out w TB a month or 2 ago they started to appear there. Same style, same frequency- just an animation here and there- as BF. Who knows. Maybe it’s a bit of both, I do like it though.
Whilst I laughed out loud every time Griffin booed and the animated audience appeared, you need to realise the chemistry that you have with your guests is unique. I was watching you as an unknown and watching Joel before I watched Community and watching Dax with no idea of who he is because the podcast is so good. Notice how your guests always want to hear about you rather than talk about themselves? You have it cracked, who cares about imitators?
@@rickglassman i’m finally making myself stop and go to bed (but will continue tomorrow starting off with the Blake Griffin ep).
