Had the 8track back in the 70s. Absolutely loved it then. Found entire album online. Played it thru and remembered every lyric, after 45 years. Still love it. Brings back great memories
GREAT album... Met Gary after a show here in northern WI a few years ago.. he and his wife. Really great guy and sounds exactly like he did in the 70s. Talked about Steve Porcaro of Toto who is sort of mentored early on. Gary was a close friend of George Harrison and was with him often during his enlightenment journey ... have a listen to "Really wanna know You" .. shades of My Sweet Lord
Dream Weaver LP was absolutely the best. If anyone was the master of synthesizers it was Gary Wright. His music had a Space Age sound. No other group or any other performer had that sound. If anyone was centuries ahead of his time because the sound that he had. It certainly was Gary Wright. The way he was dressed in the Dream Weaver LP, he looked like a Star Fleet Commander. Capt James T Kirk eat your heart out because Gary Wright looked cool in that space uniform with those high boots. I'm pretty sure Buck Rodgers would've wanted him on his side. The journey you'd experience would be a musical experience.
Gary was very cosmopolitan, so without hesitation he fitted into the London scene when he joined 'Art', which became 'Spooky Tooth'. As we know he became very famous, but he was always organic, always true to his roots. God bless you Gary
