My favorite this or that's are the groups of games so I made one using a pin from every decade from the 70's forward not counting remakes. Would you rather have... Firecracker, Eight Ball Deluxe, Medieval Madness, The Simpsons Pinball Party, Jurassic Park LE, and Jaws LE OR Abra Ca Dabra, Elvira and the Party Monsters, Attack from Mars, Lord of the Rings, Deadpool LE, and Godzilla LE?
I've got that high-end virtual pinball along with my regular pins and it kicks ass. Is it 100% a replacement? Of course not. But I can play almost any pin in the last 50 years any time I'd like. I often play pins I no longer own just for old time's sake. PLUS when you connect a VR headset to this machine it is mind-blowing! I'll play Batman 66 in the Batcave and the kid inside me still freaks out. Real or virtual, pinball is a game that can be enjoyed by all.
I have that VP also, along w/ mechanical pins. There's no doubt real pinball is better, if you have the means/room to buy all of the machines you want to play. It's like reading a real book vs. owning a Kindle, I still buy real books that have a lot of art, and I much prefer the physical book experience, but I also buy ebooks because I have multiple options in one form factor, always available in my backpack (or on my phone) when I have a moment to read. VR pinball has come a long way, and there are things that can be done w/ VPs that can't be done on mechanical machines. (Like the Batcave!) My local pinball museum has around 70 machines from all the eras. I've created a playlist that has about 60 of those tables in VP so I can play at home and learn the rules. I still feed bills into machines on location, especially newer titles like Uncanny X-men and Godfather. The bottom line is it's not an either/or option for me, it's definitely an AND. Like you say, pinball is a hobby that can/should be enjoyed by all, regardless of form factor.
You guys rock! After the crypto bull market ends, in April or November. I will take profits. The first big thing I'm buying is a Pinball machine. The hard part will be which Pinball table to get. Between Scooby Do, Labrynth, Godzilla, Dungeon and Dragons, John Wick or Pulp Fiction, which 1 would you pick? Best LE only. I'm a Fellow Hoosier, and online gamer (Darkrevelations) needs help. I can only get 1, so This or That Episode help is greatly needed, my bros.
Learning the rules for Maverick lifts it from shit to a little less shitty. Understanding when to shoot which targets is fun, but it doesnt save it from the worst ball lock snooze fest ever, lack of shots from the upperflipper (there is only one, the captive ball) and boring missions.
@@SDTM True, true. But of all the latest Sterns, ST and Mandalorian are... well... blah. I was worried about D&D (since I'm an old 2nd ed guy, and a pin guy) since it's Eddy and Sullivan (Eddy's last 3 are blah for me, and Sullivan writes some complex code), but after seeing a lot of the gameplay, I think it fits their strengths really nicely. And Eddy, very smartly, realizes it pinball first. But, as you said, the proof is in playing a nearly 1.0 coded machine.
I'm really really surprised that Zach and Greg don't do the Straight Down The Middle Pinball Slew Foot Shuffle dance during the music intro! Or they do and forgot to add it! 🕺👀🎵🎶
@SDTM I've tried Monster Bash on multiple occasions thinking, "maybe I'm just missing something." But, nope, it's overrated to me. I just don't enjoy playing it.
@@thewolfmansays In fairness, I haven't played Creach a lot either, but it tends to keep my attention more. And it may be just me. MB just doesn't resonate, but I like the theme and understand why others like it.
Best pinball channel on TH-cam. Thanks for all the content. Starting off this year on a big high.
That’s our goal, so we appreciate the feedback.
You guys keep this up and I won’t ever get bored of pinball. Look forward to all your stuff, no more sabbaticals ok.
Hahaha thanks! Anytime we can talk pinball and bullshit until we make each other laugh to tears we are doing life correctly
My previous This Or That was "a Vpin or no pinball at all". Back then the consensus was no pinball at all :). You guys made progress :).
Aren’t you proud of me?!?! (Zach)
A part 2 of Pro vs Prem/LE would be great, I really enjoyed the last one you did.

I love face off!! And laughed my ass off in this ep! 😂😂
The Bally D&D has the most banger theme in any pinball.

The VR thing is very very interesting

@@8BigSlick8 You summed it up perfectly and your analogies are spot-on.
What’s the best system to get? What’s a system that the public can go and buy that is a good machine?
Glad to hear you guys are Beatles lovers too! I have recently gotten obsessed with it. Didn't "get" it at first, but it really grew on me
Glad you gave it time to click. It’s such a fun well-rounded game
I was surprised you didn’t throw Bond 60th in the “new games with a retro feel” pool.
Good call. That was Joel’s pitch.
Keep these videos coming ! Been laughing my ass off 😂
Hot biscuit, thanks!
One more...Gottlieb's T'eed Off and William's No Good Gofers or a pinball machine with an actual Caddyshack license?

This or That: Jurassic Park Data East or Jurassic Park Stern Home Edition!
Easy: DE
@@SDTM Too easy! Okay... how about JP Home vs Rob Zombie haha
Hahahaha
Just getting over a bout of pneumonia and watched this. Big mistake!
:)
Great vid as always! Here's a Keanu Reeves This or That: John Wick Pro and Bram Stoker's Dracula or Johnny Mnemonic and Toy Story 4?
Oh baby, now we’re talking!
Oh I do like this one (greg)
❤ yall used my root canal this or that 😂 ❤. Day made!
Thanks bud! It was a great one
Cool to see you at Zach's. More Great stuff to watch and debate over. Love It!
Thanks! Yeah we wanted to switch up the location a bit, make sure people know Zach likes pinball too haha
@ I Love The JP line up, Elwin's is my favorite pin but Zach's line up is pretty easy on the eyes.

Man I need to get my hands on one. It’s one of the few games Iv never played (Greg)
D&D over Stranger Things. Easy. I played a lot of D&D. You will change your mind.
We are beyond stoked to hear that Rexer! Can’t wait. LEs should be shipping this coming week.
Wow another one!! Thanks!
Chugga chugga choo choo
Zach has a LOT of bad takes but hating on The Crack (aka Cracker Barrel Old Country Store) might be the worst yet.
The Crack hahaha love it
ST over D&D is - WILD - boys haha great to get another video so soon!
I know, I know. Maybe that will change once we are able to play D&D

Abso-flippin-lutely
I know it takes time and effort to do these but it helps keep the excitement high for pinball. Thanks Dudes. BuY bUy BUY !
What on earth is White Gravy? Us Australians want to know
Hahahaha milk-based with sausage. Like on Biscuits & Gravy.
Jaws LE with a topper or D&D pro and a Deadpool Pro
I think you just divided us, but we shall see

We don’t want people throwing tomatoes at us
@SDTM If you get tomatoes you can make BLTs 😂
HA
Here's one for you both to ponder...Mr. and Mrs. Pac-Man or Baby Pac-Man?
Say whaaaaaaaat
The timers on the modes for Zens original Jurassic park on pinball fx don’t mess around
Ha ha no they don’t!!!
How about white water or strange things premium
Ouch that one hurts
Yall are nuts, lmao ……..but what about Stern TMNT or a bad case of diarrhea ?
Heeeeeeeeey we love some TMNT
@ TMNT kicks my a$$ ! 🤣
Dennys makes a great smash burger!
I’m down!

Rough to keep myself watching when you're seemingly ripping on D&D players right from the drop.
Don’t worry, we make fun of ourselves way more than any D&D players.
They're shills. Keep your expectations low.
No rip on D&D players at all. It was a joke that got mixed into the conversation. Nothing at all directed toward any one that plays. (Greg)
@@CasperInkyMagoo we have a lot of Segas to sell. Got to get those games out the door 😊

Sounds like trying to push old inventory.
This channel is just a giant commercial for Zach's business. They sold out to Stern ages ago.
Thanks for watching? Stern sells peaches now? Hehehe
I’m interested in hearing what old inventory this video is trying to push. Just so I can understand.
