What starts the canister not sucking from wound. What did I omit?

Can you empty the canister?

Hi Susan, thank you for the question. The VAC canisters are disposable and are not meant to be emptied or reused. The canister should be changed when full (the alarm will sound) or at least once a week to control odor.
