had no idea John C. Reilly was a Woody Guthrie fan, good to see that there are still people that understand and respect what Woody did... I wish I was in that band
Ali Reed he wasn't a lead, played the husband to the lead unfortunately he was only in little of the movie. But the song he did Mr. Cellophane, is amazing. best song in the movie.
I'm so glad Willie left OCMS, but I'm so glad that I saw him with OCMS, if that makes sense...? I saw them in early '09, literally moments before they started to just...SUUUCK!!!!! He split about 3 months after the show I went to...
WOW! Can't believe I didn't recognize him. He did an in-store at Tower Records in Berkeley in the late 90s, in support of his 2nd album Fifty Eggs, when I was working there.
Donald - you're the only one that sucks. I just saw OCMS, and they're better than they have ever been. Watson is great, but OCMS is better without him.
Agreed, OCMS is as good as ever. Ketch and Critter are the foundation. Willie was great with them, but they are still great without him. Now if Ketch left, the band would be over.
Willie wanted to play old time music(what brought them together in the first place). OCMS is leaning more towards heavily produced music (think "sweet amarillo, caroline"...). It's a win win for all involved. I prefer the Willie, Dave and Gill sound that he has been making. "Mexican Cowboy" sounds like it could have been Roscoe Holcomb singing it. Some tracks he sounds like Jimmie Rodgers. They are all doing what they want and are still friends.

Was no one going to tell me about Willie Watson and John C. Reilly performing together? Like seriously
Donald - you're the only one that sucks. I just saw OCMS, and they're better than they have ever been. Watson is great, but OCMS is better without him.
you're fooling yourself!

I Like Willie Way better after leaving, He got Better, seen OCMS twice now without him & won't pay to see them again.
