This map was one giant killing field, and not only were you not given enough troopers you had very little support weapons or vehicles and what firepower you did have was...useless as the creator positioned it. And what troops you did have were positioned right in the open and there wasn't enough adequate cover here for any conceivable victory to be won without spawning in additional units. You were in the right here.
+Zach Zier I kind of like the idea though. Some battles are unwinnable, and that's not necessarily a bad thing from a story aspect. When you put yourself into the role of the commander of those troops, and think about what being in that situatiion would be like and whatnot. Pretty cool from a story aspect at the least.
I wonder, if he had immediately taken the troops in reserve off to the side and put them behind those rocks on both sides of the bridge to draw fire, and then immediately charged the bulk of his force up the middle, do you think that would have been effective enough to break their line?
David Burnett I get what you're talking about. But that's better done in the defensive mode. And I don't see any victory being accomplished at all here. The A.I. will attack the nearest units and those clones just have nothing to protect them. If they'd been provided more adequate cover then maybe they'd make it to the middle of the map but no further.

The main reason the Republic tried to take Mygeeto was to obtain power crystals that could only be found on that planet. Those crystals would be move to Utapau, but then episode III happened (shudders) and Utapau was captured and the Jedi Holocaust aka Order 66 was put into effect. Those power crystals would eventually become key components in the Death Star's planet busting laser. The laser is used on Alderaan, and Episode IV happens. Funny how everything works out right?

Idea: Battle of Christophis. Columns of droids marching on no retreat, and keeping in formation if that is possible versus a few lines of clones, those little fast walkers(at-rt?) 5 or 6 artillery cannons and some jetpack troopers. Droids have some tanks as well.

+Moldy Apple They had a few appearances, but nothing too major. Commander Wolfe was a marine, and so we're the flame thrower troopers on Ryloth and Geonosis. But I do agree that there should have been some episodes about them.

I actually prefer it when he uses the editor. That way he can spice things up if things get boring. Or to just add pure chaos.

Diplex no matter what u have to do to make a batter work in your favor just do what you have to do, adding in lots of units to fight always makes for an enjoyable video of chaos to what :) keep up the deadly videos love from Ireland :)

Watching these, and the clone wars tv show really puts into perspective on how much these clones actually go through and that they are not just some mindless drones who follow orders
Although there was no commentary, you still make the best of videos by far and giving us the best game play you can do.
More units = more action more action = longer videos longer videos = more awesome star wars badass combat...........................I don't see a problem here. Keep up the work just how you always do please!
In the waning months of the clone wars. The 501st faced missions critical to the agenda of Chancellor Palpatine. When we arrived at the bombed out ruins of Mygeeto, our jedi commander believed we had been sent to take out a droid energy collector. What Ki-Adi-Mundi didn't know however was that our unit of the 501st was really after an experimental Mygeetan power source, that the Chancellor wanted for his superlaser. Keeping Mundi in the dark wasn't easy; the jedi had become increasingly weary of the Chancellor's doings, and were on the slightest hint of treachery. Just like the rest of them though, he never really caught whiff of what was going on until it was far too late.
The opening bit seemed like a very logical time to use an orbital strike or armor or.. something.
I don't care what you do with the editor, it's still awesome. (DiplexHeated+Galaxy at war=EPIC)
Great video diplex, nice job commanding your troops from cover to cover tactically. This map does seem a bit unfair as you start with less and poorly placed troops so great work there. The clone charges were awesome too.

I love the madness and the destruction diplex, but I the the map creator was trying to create a realistic Mygeeto battle. The battle on Mygeeto was one of the bloodiest battle for the GAR in the war and the clones was nearly defeated at many different times. And it's not really surprising to see you run out of clones since the clones was desperately short on manpower.
But still love the vid and keep it up

Diplex could you do a battle of utapau, like the one in episode 3 where obi wan kills grievous? It might be hard to do but it would be really cool, at least in my opinion. Keep up the good work!

what this map needs is constant drop ships bringing in clones and air support with some strafing runs this is what a clone on droid battle should look like but with more explosions
And a starting point that doesn't look like a mass death-by-firing line

The droids accuracy needs to be decreased. In the movies the droids had the numbers but the clones had the better shooting and tactics.
You know there's a cliche in all movies I've ever watched. The bad guys have terrible aim until it matters. The game creators wanted the ai on both teams to be even so there would be a point to trying to play as the droids.

They need to fix this custom mission cause there is no way anyone could beat it without the editor.
I do not blame you for getting frustrated but not every battle is meant to be won. I do agree some of the maps may not have been tested so its not your fault. As a fan of the Star Wars the Clone Wars show and movie the droids in the mod at the moment from watching you are to human. The only droids I have seen act like people aka going for cover or dodging a grenade are magnadroids and BX series commando droids but B1 battle droids and B2 super battle droids are meant to be a overwhelming force not tactical like the commando droids. I mean some B1 were smart enough to get in cover but mostly they followed orders to the point.
My point is the B1 and B2 are to human but it does make it look more fun to play

+Max Morgan Just because Ki-Adi-Mundi (that's the Jedi you're talking about) got killed by the clones, doesn't mean that they just would retreat from the planet. On the contrary, they continued to conquer the planet, though it be without Ki-Adi-Mundi.

+Max Morgan Not quite, they were actually reformed into stormtroopers, the soldiers themselves remained in service, only their name and uniform changed. It were the Clone Factories who were shut off, not the Clones.

It must be pretty demoralizing to be a clone in this battle you spawn in and immediately hear the screams of your fellow clones dying and the smell and sound of blaster fire and then getting into the fight and see the bodies and the wounded and seeing other clones dying left in right the entire squad killed before it fired off five shots horrible just horrible

I seriously do not mind your use of the editor. It's more enjoyable if you can play the map your way instead of being too focused on somehow making it through the onslaught with a handful of half-dead clones.
