Of you are a trained singer, alcohol won't really impair your ability to sing much. I'm pretty sure it's the same with pretty much every instrument.
nah man alcohol dehydrates the shit out of you which dries out the vocal cords and makes it notably harder to sing. Some people just genetically have special voices that are easier to work with like that and I think Roomie is one of em, having a higher resting voice also helps with that too
