That's a great point. While we were looking for putts that had a big impact on the result of a tournament, we didn't consider putts like this that still hold significance.
@oj8389 Thanks for watching, and we appreciate the thoughts. There were a couple of early 2000's putts (most notably Barry Schultz circle 2 putt to send 2003 USDGC to a playoff with Climo) that were honorable mention and just missed the Top 10 cut. The biggest limiting factor for going back that far (especially into the 90s) is the publicly available footage is sparse. Were there any specific pre-2014 putts you felt were worthy of top 10 consideration?
@@rotadiscgolf think these are all great putts, love top 10's my quibble is you do our sport a disservice when you say "all-time" when it's just from available footage in recent history. best part is that each putt is contextualized. ive seen some clutch putts from climo on YT from worlds. i think if you want to call it all time there should be some super old footage purely for the sake of demonstrating the age of the sport. paul mcbeth was not the first great disc golfer, but damn the way he would drain 80 footers back then was crazy! but come on, disc tech has evolved so much that comparing putts has to take the added difficulty of inferior plastic if youre gonna say "all time" i understand you need clicks, im just pushing back bc i been playing for 20 years and i remember before the current era (just barely!)
also ron russell putts from the 1999 worlds that he beat climo are insane. he doesnt look at the basket, putts w beat to shit magnets w hard anhyzer, cans so many 40 footers if memory serves. honestly that s what i was surprised not to see
Some great putts didn't make this list. I think we'll have to do a part 2. At 2014 Worlds, Ricky hit a clutch 50 footer for eagle on hole 8 of the Final 9. McBeth hit a 35 footer on playoff hole 2 to extend the playoff. Ricky hit a 35 footer on hole 3 of the playoff. One of the greatest playoffs of all time.
Mcbeth’s putt on 17 at ‘22 worlds was great but not that clutch cuz he missed a 35 footer on 18 for the win. He could’ve missed the 80 foot one and made the 35 foot one for the same result. It wasn’t a make or break moment
@ my point is - history extends a little further back than your videos - what about early 2000s, 90s? Why leave out an entire generation of pros who make up that history

Yoo! The whole video I was just thinking “Paul’s putt at 2022 World’s has to be in there”. The king of clutch.
Please, please, please continue to make these videos for everything discgolf! The production is beautifully done! Thank you for your wonderful work!
You bet! Many more on the way.

Was there for Ricky's putt at De Laveaga, it was nuts.

Mcbeth is a boss. But Ricky's highlight reel of big time putts is 2nd to none. Shake n bake RAPTOR LEGS ALL DAY!!!
Rick’s putts always seem dialed in
@rotadiscgolf shake n bake RICKY.
Worlds in Europe 2025 LET'S GO!
James Conrads worlds championship putt should be number 1. The most epic of all discgolf putts.
It was a heck of a putt
Figures Paul McBeth would give Paul McBeth the number one spot
Waaaaa.
