Hey friend! If you're thinking of starting a virtual assistant business or you're currently a virtual assistant give yourself a shoutout in the comments!
I’m currently a virtual assistant. I started putting together the business at the end of 2022 and FINALLY got a long term paying client in October 2023. I took up a LOT (😢) of unpaid work to build my portfolio and it paid off. I messed up by not charging my worth (😅) but my portfolio is now built up well enough to start expanding and I’m so excited. If you’re thinking of starting a VA business PLEASE DO IT. I live fully off of my virtual assistant income and have more work-life balance.
@@DARKPurpleNailPolish I’m so happy for you! What are your thoughts on becoming a VA versus something more specialized, like a bookkeeper, a graphic designer, or a social media manager? Is there a track that is better in terms of income and competitiveness, or do you think they're all comparable? (assuming that all paths are equally enjoyable work)
Hey! I love this question. I was actually going to record a video on this very thing. So, if you can offer something more specialized in the long run, you’ll earn more money and get more clients. I’ll explain in a upcoming video my full thoughts on this 😀

@@SFayeLewis hey! Don’t let that discourage you. Sometimes it hard people to let go tasks and outsource to others because they believe they can do everything. And if they felt they should’ve done it themselves. It doesn’t always mean you didn’t do a good job. It could also means the expectations for the project weren’t clearly set. The client didn’t provide enough instructions or information. The client didn’t convey exactly what they wanted or result they wanted to achieve. So don’t let that discourage you. For the next client. Just make sure you ask questions, you can’t ask too many questions… so you’re clear on what they want, what the end goal should be etc.
