    Going to UVic in the fall and needed insight on which residence buildings to apply to. This helped a lot, thanks!

    i just finished my first year at uvic, and was at EC! it was bittersweet because we were the last group of EC residents as it is being torn down next year but watching your tour brought back so many memories

    Hey! How long does it usually take to decorate your dorm room like most students do, bc Idk why I feel like I won’t have the time to when I move in😭

      Hey! Sorry for the late reply - it only took like an hour or so my parents helped me so it went a lot faster :)

    Moving into Emily Carr in a couple weeks and I was just wondering if you're allowed to move furniture around of if it's like set in place?

    • @emmmilli
      @emmmilli  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The beds and desks are able to move around but the closet is nailed into the wall so that isnt able to move!

    • @emmmilli
      @emmmilli  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No haha just cause there aren't many tours of UVIC dorms (especially Emily Carr) so I thought I'd make one

    How much do you pay for rent? I'm considering UVic for university and I'm concerned about the cost of housing.

    • @emmmilli
      @emmmilli  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Res includes your meal plan so for a single its: $9,536 (sept to april) and a double is: $8,354 (sept to april)

    • @emmmilli
      @emmmilli  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for replying so late!! - My rent is $600 no including utilities! But it really can range from $500 - $1000! Really depends on landlord and location and house and all that stuff!

    Is the co-op good at UVIC ? Many people told me that co-op is not good since it is located on an island. Please some guidance

    • @emmmilli
      @emmmilli  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sharan Patel I haven’t done co-op but I believe it depends on the faculty you are in, a family friend told me that for Psych majors it’s not preferable but that was her experience

    • @sharanpatel5545
      @sharanpatel5545 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      emmmilli Thank you sooo much. Ur literally the only person who replied back out of almost 10 people. Thank you again😊🤙

    • @emmmilli
      @emmmilli  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah ofc no worries! But bottom line is it definitely depends on your faculty! Apparently Business and Sciences have really good Co-op!

    • @uviccoopandcareer
      @uviccoopandcareer 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sharan - Co-op at UVic is a huge draw for many students! More than 40 per cent of students take part and it's available in almost every program. Students complete close to 4,000 co-op work terms each year here in Victoria and around the world (more that 40 countries). Our co-op programs are linked to our academic areas so staff are familiar with what you're studying and have amazing connections to professionals in your field of study. Co-op students learn how to apply for work and what to expect in the workplace before they start looking for jobs, and co-op gives you amazing hands-on work experience before you graduate. We're here to help you succeed! You can check out stories from past students at uvic.ca/coopandcareer/stories or let us know if you're interested in a particular program and we can connect you!
