Our group of Moldavian students traveled to Tartu by tourist bus from Tallinn during winter vacations in February 1974. I will never forget an old guide/professor Leesment so friendly, showing us proudly the famous University of Tartu. And the lunch somewhere - a Swedish table - was delicious ! Now I like also Saku beer !Unforgettable life lasting memories/trip to Estonia ! And I read the book -"Bye, yellow cat" by Mati Unt.Warm Greetings from Kishinău/Moldavia

As a child I remember my mum and nan making our costumes. I remember dancing over sticks on the floor. And birthdays, funeral, infact any celebration they sung a song and drank a shot each verse, swear the song was 15 verses 🤣
i dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I would love any assistance you can offer me
@Wallace Matthew I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
Lost me at "proud to be part of humankind". Estonians, and only Estonians, do this, this specific way. Of course dance festivals happen in many places, but they´re all different, peculiar to a given nation; not global and interchangeable. I´m very glad that I get to witness this, but my people would never (sadly) manage to do anything of the sort. We´re all different, which is why it amazes us foreigners so, to see something like this. I can´t be proud of something that doesn´t belong to my people, I can only be deeply moved by its beauty while watching from afar, and that´s how it should be. Sorry for my English.
I am Estonian. Yes I am proud to be part of humankind. I have danced for 10 years (I am currently 17 years old). Have participated in the festival (2012, 2017, 2018, 2019) and there is so much power around you when you are there. And that power becomes happiness when you are dancing for your country and people. So much pride and joy. i assume you're not from the UK. I'd like to know where you are from.
@@kamillkruutmann4687 I think what he is saying is that you Estonians can do this because you are all White and have a common culture and a love for one another. Western Europe is being torn down by multi culturalism and so they have no ethos. We love you because you are one people. Stay strong.
My friend, if you are European, if you are White, whether you are Germanen or Slavic, these to are your people. Once upon a time Europeans all shared a common ethos and culture. Maybe you cannot dance with them, but you can go there and watch and revel in it.
Ma oleksin hea meelega vaadanud Laulu-Tantsupidu,kuid ei olnud võmalik vaadata teatud asjaoludel. Muidu olen tavaliselt vaadanud lõpu kontserdid aga see kord jäi seegi vaatamatta.
There is a junior festival this summer where children and young people up to 21 years take part, but yes, the next general festival is 5. - 7. July 2019. I guess its time to mark it down in your travel plans. :D
umm... this year I gonna sing ... I dont know how to say that... I am just little girl. ma see aasta laulan laulukaare all ja kõnnin mingis suures gruppis linnas. but thats nothing special. nevermind :b
One day you will understand it.
This is amazing! Greetings from Sweden!

Anna andeks, 'Viire takka' on lugu ikka :/
Name of the song please at 3:38 !!
Estonian folk song "Viire takka" th-cam.com/video/JlqrvQPdYmo/w-d-xo.html
I only care about grannys
energy generating for the daemons invoked as phony 'ancestors'. ritualistic, nothing new
what are you on about?
Are you a Christian? From where?
Wow
