anyone wondering where the slow ass mo cut off clip starts, its @ 4:50
why not add slow mo later and regular run first,
    really stupid editing.

Maybe you can watch it backwards

Its a out of traction, not a cut out

That edit is hard to tell what actually happened

Combination of factors. We drove with 5 degrees Celsius, Beforehand I had already pushed the wheel to its limits, To get enough speed on the short approach route, I accelerated quite strongly in the rain-soaked sand, Lean uphill in the last part I'm still quite forward and drive through a slight dent in the ramp. This was enough to overpower the wheel. The wheel dips but I react a fraction too late because I was still leaning quite a bit, wheel cuts off, I pull back, wheel catches again but accelerates under me as it were while I was still pulling back., lost gfrip by 1 foot and well then I knew I wasn't going to save this one. Because the cold battery (50%) could not deliver the power peak, the bms then switched off the wheel. The capacitors are also empty at that moment because I had been jumping quite a bit half an hour before. So driver fail, and battery sag. Actually, you just have to have enough run-up speed for a jump before you drive onto the ramp, the lesson is again not to accelerate on the ramp.

@@EUCLimburg Damn, so unlucky! I feel that EUC's should be 3 or 4 times more powerful than they are now to be really fun offroad and not bog down. Caps should fill up in a few seconds again though as soon as you are not overpowering the wheel. (Sidenote: I am thinking that most wheels would benefit from more caps on the mainboard so they have more time to be at max power and not cut off.)

@@JonahHax I agree with that. More, bigger caps could help. These are also high capacity cells, the high discharge cells can also help in this case. Dis Wheelthing is still in its infancy of development, but it keeps getting better. 5 years ago the wheels where toys are today are real transport vehicles and I think the wheels will continue to develop. Whe are just the guinea pigs. I think we are going to see a differentiation. Road racing wheels, long distance touring wheels, city wheels, afroad downhill wheels, endoro wheels, trail wheels, jump wheels, scatepark wheels, balet wheels etc.
