Love Ko Eun Sung singing this song play it all the time. Love it.😊
This song was made for a musical, about moïse s life journey. And this was the final song of the show. This is why you also have the other sings at then end and the music video is showing the preparation.
Every singers in that show have really unique voices. I was lucky enough to see it when i was 12 years old it was magical. Daniel levi also did the french singing voice for Aladin "a whole new world" it was beautiful. Sadly he passed away from cancer a couple of years ago.

He did amazing. This song has become a classic in France. The will to love. L'envie d'aimer. It has been sung during weddings, funerals, and by all who once felt the will to love. The Korean singer gave a beautiful tribute. In a different style. Great rendition.

I like both version the original and the cover but if I have to choose one I prefer the cover by the Korean singer Ko Eun Sung. His French pronunciation is superb. And he sings live too. Thanks Dereck for trying this concept of the original and the cover in one reaction video.

The way Daniel Levi sings this song is so heartfelt and unique. A masterpiece remains a masterpiece whoever sings it. I am not a big fan of covers even if I am impressed by Ko Eun Sung and you too. Celine Dion did the cover of Eric Carmen “All by myself” but Eric Carmen sings his song the way Daniel Levi sings that one : so unique and heartfelt.

I am French and I didn't know there was a korean cover of this song. I have to say that his prononciation is incredible I could swear he lived in France, that's very impressive. And his voice is so powerfull I love it. I hope he has an amazing career in south Korea and worldwide.
Incredible! This is the first time I watch the reaction of a person who discovers this song for the first time. I remember when this song came out that every time I spoke about it in my entourage, immediately it was the smile and the fervor which expressed itself on the faces. Dereck's reaction proves that this song is universal. That is pretty much what we all feel when we listen to it for the first time. And this, wherever you are, no matter what country. When a song is covered in this way by foreign artists, then we're dealing with a standard.

Ah... "Les 10 Commandements". I saw the live performance way back when they first started touring. Amazing. Goosebumps and tears throughout.
They're all great, but Daniel Levi is an amazing singer.
And I agree, give "Mon Frère" a listen makes me cry every time.

I saw this music-hall show live, it was amazing, I also bought the album, and there are a lot of beautiful songs on this one. You should listen to "Mon frère". The other singer has a very beautiful voice, a lot of strength in it, and what surprised me the most is his French pronunciation, almost like a native speaker. Very impressive because often it's difficult to understand strangers when they are singing in French (BTW I'm a frenchie). Pascal Obispo is also known as a good singer in France.

Sad news Dereck today, Daniel Levi died at the hospital from cancer at age 60 , he was very ill for years now. His baby was born only one month ago.

Oh so cool! I LOVE this song so much the lyrics are so beautiful. I learned Korean with Korean music actually and when I saw Go EunSeong singing in French with that perfect prononciation... He doesn't speak it fluently but he learned while watching French films, musicals... You tried it in the video and you did good actually! I'm sure you can sing in great French with a bit of practice! ^^

Waw! it was a first time for me also with Ko Eun Sung version. Thanks for it. If I can suggest two other songs, it would be "L'assassymphonie" from an other musical comedy, and "Le jour d'après" by Chimène Badi (french version of the song from the movie "The Day After Tomorrow").
Oh no Dereck found a song written by Polnareff's copycat Pascal Obispo. I hope he reacts to more Polnareff before he does Obispo songs :D Anyways, Levi is a great singer, no idea why he didn't have a better career. Impressed by Ko Eun Sung, great voice, awesome french pronunciation, way better than most foreign singers who try to sing in french in talent shows around the world.

It was such a huge hit at the time, we all know this song by heart (and it will be the case soon for you as well Dereck ;D), you're improving your french! :) PS: Daniel Levy cannot sing this well today as he's been very sick since 2019, fighting against a colon cancer which also reached his lungs and liver. ;( Let's wish him well, he deserves to recover from this damned disease, he's such a fantastic singer...PS2: great cover, this korean singer has a superb voice too, his pronounciation is excellent, and he's very cute too lol !

To me Ko Eun Sung is a lot better then Dimash in french covering his accent is incredibly good. I dislike Dimash for that because he seems to perform instead of interpreting, probably because he doesn't understand a word of what he sings. For me Dimash is just a technician and sometimes it does'nt match with the songs he sings. "Il truque !" as we say in french.
But anyway Dereck if you keep like that next week you speak french ! And we'll all go "banane de la martinique !"

Ko Eun Sung is the best
Je n'aime pas trop les covers qui deviennent des démonstrations vocales, à la limite de l'absurde. Sur le coup, le chanteur qui fait ce cover, je le trouve respectueux de la chanson, il montre juste 2 secondes qu'il en a sous le pied, mais au global j'ai apprécié.
Et pareil pour daniel levi, pour moi il est certain qu'il peut monter plus haut, mais il chante ce qui a été composé comme ça devait l'être.
Personnellement je suis très en colère après les version de dimash ou a chaque nouvelle interprétation au lieu de s'amélioré s'enfou de plus en plus de notre langue, et de ce fait je comprend ce que tu dis au sujet des covers. Ceci dit j'avais déjà vu plusieurs interprétations de ce chanteur coréens et effectivement il respecte énormément la langue française même si malheureusement il n'arrive pas encore a y mettre l'émotion d'un chanteur natif Français. J'espère qu'il continuera d'essayer!

Dimash crie. Ce n'est pas chanter... Sa reprise de Balavoine est honteuse. Ce chanteur là fait au moins l'effort de prononcer correctement et de chanter juste, sans hurler pour montrer qu'il monte haut, sans forcer son talent. Respect.
Hey Dereck, having only just found you on here i'm so pleased you chose this song. As you say the song is outstanding, as are the two versions you chose, but i'm going with our Korean friend. I have seen him perform with many other good "cross over " singers from that country. None the less i still love the French production too. Keep up the good work, i'l be watching
