Just started learning AE and your tutorials are the BEST I've come across, hands down. I appreciate that you show the effect that's being applied throughout the video, so we know what each tool really does. Such a big difference. Thank you! :)
"-but because all animators are showoffs" Hahaha oh man, I laughed out loud. You're such a gift, with your extremely informative and entertaining tutorials. Thank you for quality content!
I scoured the internet to learn After Effects to quickly get an animation out and this was perfect! Thank you for the great content and helping with my first ever After Effects project. Have so much to learn from you!
Your sense of humor takes these already amazing videos to an unhealthy level. These are binge-worthy tutorials. Tutorials that can be binge-watched! What?
"To really impress those strangers on the internet, and hope to scrape together some self validation." Ben, your life advice is as vast as your knowledge of animation.
i only started shifting and learning logo animation for my digital business, out of hundreds of tutorial here in youtube demonstrating this matter, yours is the one that is in depth yet simple, quick and easily digestible. thank you so much for this video and your other tutorials! more power to you
Every video of yours just blows me away. You're the best teacher; a talented animator and just an all round legend... Muchos Gracias Ben... Yours sincerely, a stranger on the internet
I've noticed how usually it takes me 4-5 videos that I really enjoyed before I subscribe to someone. it only took one for you mate. Straight to the point, referencing advanced techniques (always useful for further notes) and you add a bit of humour that doesn't distract. Kudos.
Here's what I learnt from this tutorial: right click on position can seperate the dimension ( and there are other functions hidden there ) using search bar in comp is a good way to find the function you need and reduce a lot of time clicking each sub-functions the easiest transformation is to move super fast between two shapes, so fast that our eyes cant follow right click on something not editable and converting it to bezier path so you can set key frames on it. I was stuck on not able to edit the shapes created by shape tool for a long time.
Wayyy better technique than copying the path of the square and pasting it to the triangle path. I've always gotten some weird shape transformations. Love your channel, you do some great things!
I'll add to the pile of compliments. Love how the first few seconds of every video show you exactly what you're going to be learning. I wish more people did this!! Love it.
Hey Ben! Thank you for taking the time to make tutorials. I consider my self as an intermediate/advanced mograph artist, but I always keep an eye on new tutorials for new techniques and methods. And in this one I finally got a better understanding on what preserve transparency does ;) Keep it up dude
Man, you're a legend! Felt as if a magician is revealing his trick while I felt just as bedazzled at the end knowing how it's done. Got so much to learn. Thanks for the awesome tips. New subscriber ;)
Oh my GOD! I was struggling with animatong position for so long! I just didn't know that you can split dimensions! Thank you so much for a great advice! Now i can easy ease any position animation, cool! Your tutorials is so good by the way! Really complex and simple to understand!
I love this so much! At first I thought it would be a handdrawn frame by frame! Definitely gonna try this. Also love your comments about animators haha
Animation is so satisfying to watch haha. Guess for a decent animator it's not only how proficient you are with the software but also the presentation and anticipation that drags the viewers into the dynamics of those little animated objects. *v*
Thank u sooo much ben for this awesome tutorial. Love how u did manually rather than copy pasting square's path property key into traingle's path key. Loved this 😻😻
you are the funniest and certainly most motivating instructor I've found for Adobe After Effects so far. Stunning!!! And on top of it, you are really, really nice :-) THANK YOU for that inspirational kick, too! And I will check right away about your courses... great!
I know this is an old video but I'm happy I found it. I subscribed based on the first video I watch for you about mistake for bigginer. You said I should watch the 12 fundamentals of animation and I did. Happy to see you used some of them here.
Just came across your channel few hours back and its super amazing. I've been studying graphic design and also some motion graphics and always use certain channels. But this channel firstly has such good branding, be it the video openings, the layout in social media and most of all the content is crazy, like the grain and the crazy ai stuff is just different. Illustrations are also consistently awesome. Very helpful, I'll watch a lot of ads in your channel so you get paid more lol
Your tutorials and templates are really helpful! Can I also say I appreciate that unlike most tutorial guys you don't always show us how to make a new composition unless it's important but only the essential stuff? 😁 (as someone with ADD it drives me nuts when someone with a tutorial of a specific function also wants to show me how the program works)
I just come up with another way to make this kind of shape changing animation. 1. Use Ai to create two shapes 2. Use blend tool to create the inbetweens 3. Expand the shapes 4. seperate each shapes into different layers, rename them sequentially 5. import the Ai file into AE as a comp
I'm literally inhaling your videos one after another since I discovered your channel last week. Seriously, you have the best content, the nicest examples and the proper level of advancement, in my opinion and my case. Thank you - thank you - thank you! for what you're doing here! Greetings form Poland :)
Its funny hearing you talk about self validation because each time I watch your title sequence - as a mere mortal - it blows my mind and I question if I'll ever reach your level of mastery!
This is not a tutorial on shape morphing, this is a master class on principles of animation, like dude, this tutorial is amazing!!!!!
I always feel so special when you say "If you've made it this far"
Thank you so much for watching it till the end, you are special! :)
you're the best teacher ever

that's why this channel outstands all the other! even quite basic technique is conveyed in your unique way.
Thank you so much, I'm really glad you dig this style :)
as a student, i wanna get on my knees and thank u with my life. you're making me go through that year

You've impressed this internet stranger!
Man, this is one of the best videos I've seen on TH-cam in a while. Crystal clear, easy to follow and full of information. Thanks.
