Hi, nice install! Very tidy job.
Wondering if you could you help? I have a Audison bit10d processor that I want to put in my boot I’ve got the relevant (I think) harness/iso,parrot adaptor that links to the signal from head unit. What’s the best way to wire it from that (the front of the car) to the processor at the rear. You wired yours to the head unit of the transit what wires do you use to extend it?
*The car battery is in the rear so convenient for power and ground, just wondering about thin cable gauges of harness distance/noise etc.*

you can use an sot lead or phone y lead then its plug and play speakers in and out if you wish. hi level or speaker feed is a stronger signal than an rca so less likely to pick up noise and less amplification needed to boost the output

Hi, (cool set up btw) .... could you advise how to stop my amps cutting out when my car starts ? ( i have stop start feature too).

@@AlexCarter-AscAudio cool, Seat Alhambra 2014, AGM battery is upgraded 80ah newish Varta silver. I think they only charge to 80%. I was thinking of telling the car via vcds that its an 85ah (90ah may be too high) - this is done by changing the first two digits on the coding, but wouldnt trial that unless i had professional advice. logically it should work. when i smart charged the battery, the amps dont turn off on stop start situations. I have a audison bit10, and then two focal fpx amps 1.1000 for the sub, and 4.800 for the mids and tweets. I have a fused 0 gauge pure copper (weilders wire) cable and added an extra earth from battery to chassis, to ensure enough juice gets to the amps. Do people still use caps ? i had an old one but it didnt make a difference, or not sure if it was working correctly. i wired positive in and positive out..
ok so firstly do the amps cut out when the stop start activates or do you mean that you drive it hard and then they cut out due to not enough power or over driving them needing more electric .
secondly yes caps are a thing just wire them like they were another battery so like a series wiring style .
thirdly you need to use ohms law and figure out what your current draw is and work out what your car can supply all is important .

i was reading that there may be resitance in the cabling to. i.e. from negative feed from chassis to amplifiers too.
do you mean the current draw on the amps and the starter motor, and then combine the two right ?
even on low volume, the amps cut out, when the car restarts
i will look into it over next week or so as i have a few diy priorities going on :-)

it can depend on the type of wire proper copper you could 8 guage but cca alloy stuff you should up size to 4 . unless the run is long then maybe 2 or 0
