If you wash clothing on delicate with a super gentle detergent, it helps to keep your basics preserved as well. It isn't as effective as dry cleaning but if I don't have the time to hand wash that day or the money to run to a dry cleaner at that point in time, it definitely is the next best thing

I was on the same boat, but a few months ago I started to minimize my closet and that's how I came across Naomi and honestly that's a game changer, I only keep items that can be worn in 3 different ways, and now I don't have enough clothes to try 5 outfits lol. The other thing that has helped me is on Sundays I'll spend 30 mins creating outfits from head to toe and store them in the front of my closet, so on any given day I'll go through the outfits and pick one, for the most part I leave the house with outfit 1.

I love patterned tea style/skater dresses. My wardrobe other than that is built around jeans with t-shirts. cardigans, jumpers. I love ankle boots. I also have a blazer jacket. Leather jacket. Plus a decent winter coat. I have a selection of hats and scarves too.
I totally agree with the patterns tip. I don't do patterns unless its DVF. and studying the materials too. I've learned Polyester most times look cheap and shows every flaw. My Banana Republic pieces have taken me through many years also. Another great video babes!!! xoxo
Great tips. I would add setting a color palette that includes at least one or two each, light neutral, dark neutral and seasonal or personal favorite accent color. I would stick to a basic color palette mostly, year-round. I also think patterns are important to provide variety and interest, but it’s easier if they are classic patterns: stripes, checks/plaids, dots, and yes, animal prints in neutral colors. A one-color plus white, small to medium scale floral is great, too. One top, dress or jacket in each of these classic patterns, in your dark and light neutrals, really adds to a wardrobe.

Completely agree with you on Zara vs Forever 21. You could literally see threads falling apart the clothes hanging off racks in F21. Iread once in a I think vogue article that 80% of a wardrobe to be basics. It forced me to only invest 20% of my wardrobe budget into trends (if I really like them) and therefore 80% of my budget into classic pieces. I think what would make this video better (maybe a suggestion) is to talk abt diff body types because it differs a lot. I hired a personal stylist who taught me how to dress for my body type + personal style which helped immensely!

Iread once in a I think vogue article that 80% of a wardrobe to be basics. It forced me to only invest 20% of my wardrobe budget into trends (if I really like them) and therefore 80% of my budget into classic pieces. I think what would make this video better (maybe a suggestion) is to talk abt diff body types because it differs a lot. I hired a personal stylist who taught me how to dress for my body type + personal style which helped immensely!

As I have mentioned before...I am addicted to your videos...n I got my sis hooked on as well....as you mentioned about she in...The retail site...I recently shopped in Newyork zara. ..and I am not kidding I saw items that were on she in site in zara (newyork)...A friend of mine got a particular top from she in and I happened to get the same one from zara...n I was really shocked...on further research I found so many items that were on she in site were available in zara....I kind off felt cheated but yes....and I won't even say those pieces are identical..I will say they are exactly the same as me and my friend compared the two items..... However getting back to your videos I am grateful I found you....love from INDIA

Nice video, Recently I really tend to change my look and the way I dress. Going to my 26's I'm starting to leave my teenager look and like more business outfit. I really do agree with you, not that we have to buy expensive clothes but good quality. Simple pieces çan be gold. Keep going :)
Ok so I haven't watched the video yet but I really wanted to stop and say thank you! I went shopping today just to look around. What I found was I look at pieces differently. I started to match outfits in my head and trying new pieces that ended up looking GREAT on me. I'm so excited to revamp my wardrobe and it's all thanks to you. I had you in my head as I was shopping. I would love you to do another video about basics but include long sleeved tshirts for colder weather. I live in the UK, so camisoles and short sleeves aren’t always a good idea :( I also love long sleeved t-shirts anyway but always struggle to find some that look chic and not boyish xxx
