Daniel Blight That lineup did the original touring but on the DVD with this lineup in 2009 they did a Finale version. The original lineup did it and filmed it in 2006.

I love the dresses in this performance. I love how they're all different styles and shades but they compliment each other at the same time. I also love how the dresses seem to reflect the singers singing styles and personality. I just love everything about these women and all the work that goes into making each performance breathtaking.

My great grandfather and great grandmother came from Ireland in the mid-1800s - I'm proud to be of Irish descent, especially when Celtic Woman comes to visit America!

Very nice version of this "Celtic Woman classic". It is arguable which version is better, this, or the version sung by the original group ( 5 including Hayley), for the "A New Journey concert. Personally I can't decide between the 2. BOTH are fantastic and just go to show how many wonderfully talented singers the Emerald Isle has to share with the world!!!!
Ok now that Susan has announced that she is leaving for her baby, I notice a similarity in her performance in tis video similar to one in the last special Lisa Kelly was in. Back then Lisa knew it was her last one so it looked like she gave it even more than her all like 120%, and seeing this it looks like Susan was doing the same like she knew for a while that this was to be her last DVD shoot.

I think the reason why she gave her all in this DVD was most likely because it had been so many years since they last performed in Ireland, let alone filmed a special there (the previous to be filmed in Ireland was Home for Christmas in 2012). All 4 of the ladies are gorgeous, but I agree that there is something special about Eabha- a very finely constructed Irish lass with a dark, sensuous voice.
@@kelbythedreamer16 this is the album that made me interested with the current CW lineup. I lost some interest since Songs from the Heart with the more contemporary music and the frequent lineup changes. I finally accept them as a 4 member lineup. Three singers instead of four.
Wow if my village sang that for me I’d certainly be ready for battle, I can see why it was romanticized - that would stir any soldier to make his way back home
They’re both good picks, but I have to go with Homecoming. Destiny has a wealth of new songs, and really sees the group return to its Celtic roots. It’s a great album with a really good set list, but it was also a breath of fresh air after three years of repeating old stuff. Really good guest artists too. Now even though Homecoming is rearrangements of old songs, the quality of performance is better. Eabha has settled into the group and is a confident performer here, and by this point, she and the others have had nearly two-and-a-half years to get used to each other. Eabha was wonderful in Destiny, but since it was her CW debut, you could tell she was finding her feet just within the group. She, Susan, and Mairead have one of the best harmonies this group has ever had, and together with Tara, they all work well off each other. There’s a familiarity and...just an almost electric atmosphere in Homecoming that you don’t really get with Destiny. Sorry, didn’t mean to give you a huge lecture. Short of it is: if you want the CD where you can just enjoy the music, get Destiny. If you want the DVD so you can enjoy all aspects of the performance, I strongly recommend Homecoming.

She was more serious this time around, instead of smiling the whole time. She was in complete control.

@@kelbythedreamer16 this is the album that made me interested with the current CW lineup. I lost some interest since Songs from the Heart with the more contemporary music and the frequent lineup changes. I finally accept them as a 4 member lineup. Three singers instead of four.

I’m thinking about getting another dvd but can’t decide between destiny or homecoming, can someone tell me which one is a better pick?
They’re both good picks, but I have to go with Homecoming. Destiny has a wealth of new songs, and really sees the group return to its Celtic roots. It’s a great album with a really good set list, but it was also a breath of fresh air after three years of repeating old stuff. Really good guest artists too. Now even though Homecoming is rearrangements of old songs, the quality of performance is better. Eabha has settled into the group and is a confident performer here, and by this point, she and the others have had nearly two-and-a-half years to get used to each other. Eabha was wonderful in Destiny, but since it was her CW debut, you could tell she was finding her feet just within the group. She, Susan, and Mairead have one of the best harmonies this group has ever had, and together with Tara, they all work well off each other. There’s a familiarity and...just an almost electric atmosphere in Homecoming that you don’t really get with Destiny.
Sorry, didn’t mean to give you a huge lecture. Short of it is: if you want the CD where you can just enjoy the music, get Destiny. If you want the DVD so you can enjoy all aspects of the performance, I strongly recommend Homecoming.
