the gospel is according to scripture not john calvin or jacob arminious or anyone else let God be true but every man a liar as scripture says romans 3:4
There is no need for either Calvinism or Arminianism when one finally comes to the realization ( & what an incredibly amazing realization it is!) that there is another option that most will never even consider & that is to realize that Paul is our Apostle today & that what he tried to convey is that he was saved on that road for a very special purpose! He was given the Revelation of the Mystery & that mystery is the Body of Christ that you & I are a part of when we believe the Gospel of 1 Cor. 15:1-4. Paul was the first one in it. Pauline Dispensationalism/ Mid-Acts Dispensationalism. I praise God for opening my eyes to it. The Bible makes so much more sense now, it is amazing!
Just believe what the scriptures said. What ever opinion, interpretation and philosophy regarding God compare it with what the bible said about God and if it will not square with the scripture throw all this opinion, interpretation and philosophy to the trash can, where it belong.
To think God chose to save some and not others is just not biblical. I think what Calvinist are not understanding is God is ALL KNOWING, Jesus died for ALL THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD; but, because God is all knowing He knew before hand who would believe…and in so, he has ordained and predestined those people. It does not mean He desire these specific people to perish.. He said, it is not His desire for anyone to perish. God does not say, I so loved some of you, that if you believe on My Son, you will not perish, but have ever lasting life. No, God said, I sent My only begotten Son, so that WHOSOEVER believes on him. If Calvinism is true, why even witness to anyone?
It is unfortunate that so few people understand Calvinism. It is difficult to accept at first, and most people can't/won't embrace it upon first hearing, but it is so deeply comforting if understood. I love the sovereignty of God. Human freedom is so insignificant in comparison, but it is important to know how to think about it. Your answer to this question is very gracious and well explained.
Calvinism is still heresy and distorts the person of God. I believe its a doctrine of the devil. For the God of the bible did not doom some from the womb for sure death, that is a different God. John Calvin is a heretic and will never be anything more or less to me.
Calvinism was anchored in the very Word of God. It is called The Doctrine of Grace. The book of John was full of references where we can see or find the teachings that John Calvin affirm or believed. The five points of Calvinism is very clear in the scriptures and so with the five pillars of the reformation or the Five Solas naming Salvation is by Faith Alone (Sola Fide), by Grace Alone (Sola Gratia), Through Christ Alone (Solus Cristus), by Scriptures Alone (Sola Scriptura) and by The Glory of God alone ( Solid Deo Gloria).
Fixed our eyes & open to Christ/Messiah &, closed our eyes to Calvin teachings
That was the best explanation for Calvinism versus free will Christians and grace. Thank you so much. We must love another.
Excellent explanation Stuart, Thankyou very much...i agree w/you wholeheartedly...keep up the good work of rightly dividing the word of truth
I would be Calvinistic in my theology but I totally agree with Stuart. We must be loving.
It all comes down to free-will-Best explained in the clearest book on
this topic!-"Where Calvinism goes wrong!" by Brother Robert
Thank you for your wise words here. This theological issue has caused far too many divisions.
We agree!

I'm a robot programmed to love God. How comforting to know I'm just a robot.

@@BloodBoughtMinistries you are so extreme in your cursing of Calvin. Lacking in love n grace?
@@whateverbro3848 so God needs your permission to save you?
@@tricord2939 Yes He does need your permission.
If Calvin were correct, Jesus would not have spoken in parables.
Go on, I'm intrigued. What is the argument?
@@adamandsethdylantoo The Holy Spirit changes hearts. God's will is sovereign. The Word must be preached (i.e. parables). It all makes sense to me.
Fascinating comment!!!
