- More than 150 people have been arrested as anti-lockdown protesters clashed with police in central London.
Hundreds of demonstrators marched through the city near Oxford Street chanting "freedom" on Saturday, with some carrying placards reading "stop controlling us" and "no more lockdowns".
The Metropolitan Police said the arrests were for a number of suspected offences including breaching coronavirus regulations and that it expected the number to rise.

Ye I know the feeling my house was broken into once the police did nothing.
I told this to the idiot police last week who pulled my car over for the crime of being ‘out late’. Told them to solve real crime and visit houses who have had break ins.
I was terrorized by a stalker for a while, had a whole back and forth thing with the police, they were like well, we can't really do anything after the fact, when it isn't happening. So one time when he was lurking around outside I called them, and they did nothing. nothing. Would not come, I was in fear for my life, couldn't leave my house, and they would not come.

I'm in my late 50's. All my life I've been considered respectable, law abiding - an upstanding citizen. I was raised to respect, trust and support the police.
I haven't changed. Yet it's now apparent that the police that I once admired now see people like me - ordinary, respectable citizens - as 'enemies of the state'. I watch live feeds and see how they deal with decent, respectable people - the look in their eyes is cold and hard....as if they're not seeing us as human. I've seen this happening for a couple of years now. More and more the media broadcast propaganda, so more and more we're forced to watch live streams to understand what's really going on. I've been shocked to see police working with violent thugs (antifa) in order to intimidate law abiding people. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it.

I think they've changed - I think back to policemen I've known throughout my life and they're good people. The assumption that the NHS can't cope, strange, I'm doing work for the NHS and those trusts seem to be coping very well, to the point they are letting their staff leave early every day in A&E wards and other more critical services and wards. In fact the staff in those hospitals are kicking off about having to wear PPE all the time, rather then being concerned about spreading the virus in the hospitals. So these so called NHS professionals, advisors and government ministers are wrong when they say the NHS can't cope. Also the more its is seen that the Police is used as a weapon of oppression, the more damage is is doing to the government and Tory party. I live in a very strong Tory area, my local MP is getting targeted by her constituencies about what is happening. I think the backbenchers see the damage its is causing and knowing how quick the years go, come the next elections the Tory will be very damaged at the ballet box. Possibly more damaged to their existence then they have seen before.
