I’m envious of your beautiful mainspring winders, also enjoying the content you are making, pin pallet movement are not the easiest to work on and a lot of watchmakers shy away from them deeming them not cost effective to service. 😉🙏👏🍻

Thank you! These mainspring winders are so expensive… But sometimes you need them!
I was surprised how well the pin pallet worked out!

Watches are like people, some are a royal pain in the butt, and most are co-operative and easy, some are ugly and some are quite beautiful, even down to personal hygiene, some are smelly and most are acceptable! 😂😂🙏

Around 26:30, I think a better way of doing this might be as follows: oil the brass part, place the three intermediate winding wheels on it, then flip it and place on the movement -- oil surface tension will probably keep the intermediate wheels from falling off. Working on inexpensive watches like this really appeals to me, they really have "charm" or "character". Very best regards.

I tried this way too but it didn‘t work. If you put the wheels first on the brass part and flip it they will drop. The wheels are not tight enough on the brass part that surface tension works. But we had both the same idea :D!
Thank you for your input, I really appreciate!

Strange to see a 23 jewel pin pallet watch that has no pallet jewels

    A really good job, sir👍🙂
I've a little '70 skin diver very similar, and with the same EB8021-N, but my balance wheel doesn't have antishock system.
    It's very strange🤷🏼‍♂️🤔

Well done! Got it spot on, so must have been hardly worn. Why do you think the time grapher lied?

Good Question. I think due to the fact its all microphone based you have to keep in mind its possible that really low amplitudes can generate a relative similar signal as good amplitudes if the spring is dirty and the signal is not 100% clean.
In general the timegrapher works really good but its good to see thats its always important someone is double checking. Its not a tool you can rely for 100%

At first i was thinking what the hell kind of movement is that but as you took it apart and i seen how thick the parts are, easy to service i changed my mind. this movement will last forever

I was also really reserved when I took the first glimps at it. But afterwars I must say its a really solid movement!

The Timegrapher is just a guide. Also Timegrapher relies in its own electronic parts and power source. If I want as nearly as accurate one I would love to wear a quartz and digital. Automatics and Mechanicals for me is a passion because I am not a businessman. Whatever you do with that there is always a +- secs. So be wise.

Of course you are right. But nevertheless its interesting to see that you always have to check what you are doing. Thats what I tried to show 😊
