Oh yeah? Well, here is my algorithm response to start a conversation.
Yes me to
Boo! 👻
🤩
@@holymoly6829 A message to appease the Algorithm Gods!
You could use that white freezer truck as a big cinema screen for movie nights 😮
AWESOME IDEA👍👍👍🔧
Ha, I’d go for it! 😊
it's gonna be someone's house though
@@honema123456789 that someone gonna be still invited to the movie ;)
Stunning collaboration by Dave & Rita on fitting out that Pig Trailer. That wall unit with all the mismatched drawers is a work of art. Actually all of it is. Stirling work.
I love that they can say "Landscaping Team" now. Shows how much they have grown in the past few years.
The pig trailer is looking so cosy! What a transformation!!
Love seeing Julie fixing the roof!
She is talented
love her optimism. That sunny mood. wow
@@hansfiesling8020 yes 🌸 i love her relaxed way of doing
As a Town and Regional planner, I'm Interested in seeing the more permanent living spaces turn into more of a village feel over time and how it organically links with basecamp and the eventual larger admin spaces, interacting with the infrastructure, land, food production and conservation. Already a fascinating dynamic.
That old flatbed truck at the start of the video is a real beauty. Thats a gem in the rough right there and it even looks like its in decent enough condition
Its also a very good on off-road surfaces, and can pull a lot(such as old fences, trees, ruin rocks, ect.), and its very reliable as well. The only issue I see is that it runs on a lot of diesel/gas wich isnt very enviromentally healthy
@@nut_games_sc9098 Well, you can always fit it with newer engine, but don't know how portugese law handles it.
Exactly! Great looking truck :>
@@CMDRSurtkukuyes, but that would be problably really difficult and costly project :/
You could probably get it to run on biofuel/recycled vegetable oil. Only problem then is when it’s running the English crew will be craving fish ‘n chips.
As an old (58) person who lives in the US, but still one who has optimism and wonder, I am interested to see how the camp dynamics evolve this year.
Old??? You are young!! Old at 90!!!!!
Okay, perhaps old compared to those at the camp. 😅
Ya, I don’t think at my age I’d be welcome. 66 but a have a lot of great ideas.
Like the old addage saying "Rome took time to progress from a shanty town of tents to many fully committed rows of houses."
😂
I think the pig trailer interior is the nicest on the land now! Makes up for the exterior a bit haha
Wow the pig trailer looks amazing now! I hope you enjoy your cozy house after years in the van.
Might I suggest a (battery powered) smoke and CO detector as a saftey upgrade, as you have the stove there?
Yay Julie is back. My day is made.
I really liked seeing the flashbacks to previous videos. Helped get an idea of how much work this has all been and gave some good nostalgia. Great update
I am constantly amazed at the recycling hacks. The storage in tge pig tiny house is fantastic.
Oh wow, it looks like the debarking experiment actually prevented the mimosas from sprouting. Nice to see.
I think the bread van and the construction truck would be great additions! The bread van could easily have a lofted bed and a full space underneath for living space or an office!
if it can't travel on the roads transporting it would be more hassle than it's worth. for something you're looking to save on by buying second hand, having to have custom delivery/maybe even needing permits would seem like a non-starter
Hehe, I love you guys playing rock paper scissors the see who has the ’honor‘ of doing the room tour xD
HIMEY DID A GREAT JOB! Who is going to live in here this year?!
i remember you guys being a little gutted we didn't choose the freezer truck last year, glad to see you have the opportunity to build it now!
That pig trailer is nicer than some flats I've rented.😂😂
A very enjoyable update. I like how the trailer got tearned into a home. I hope the isolated trailer saves you alot of work. But most of all it is great to see that the debarking method of the mimosas seems to be a good permanant solution! Great experiment.
The fridge box looks like it could be an easier modification.
You already have solid, insulated, walls and a roof and door. Cut holes for, and install windows, paint it, replace the floor and you are just about done.
Hope it is not sticking like dead meat and you can not get rid of it.
With out wood inside it's not really cosy
@@arjanvogel6444did you mean stinking?
You heard the man, he meant exactly what he said!😂
👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️
Every time an ad pops up I am so proud to be sponsoring the Traktor 😂
Julie did a great job repairing the toilet.
I love the storage with the different drawers, you do nice work.
Julie to the rescue! Nice job on the toilet roof! Kamp's really looking great already, fantastic work everyone! Looking forward to the next video already!
Add some external spaces to the pig trailer. A floor deck, outdoor shower, rain water collection for plants, wood hot tub, wood sauna, raised garden beds. Maybe a roof top garden if the structure can support it near the ends as there is more structure - cooling effect, upper deck relaxation area - yoga, meditation. Strategically placed sunshades. A possible greenhouse or nearby plant nursery. Totes for water collection.
Yes, this!
Solar panels
Hot water panels and holding tank.
For the sake of interpersonal dynamics between base kamp newer people and pid trailer long term residence. Perhaps don't overdo the standard of housing.
Why am I living in a tent building your insulated trailer with a wood fired sauna..
I don't know if they need a greenhouse, the temperature is already really hot ?
Love to see the progress 💪🏼! So who is lucky enough to be living in the pig trailer?!
i love how she rans quickly from the treess hahahahahha
Cherau fridge trailers/truck bodies are the gold standard in refrigerated transport. Even though I’m sure you have separated it from the Scania truck by now, that combination was and still is to this day the “bad boy” spec. Cherau and Scania go hand in hand, the french are right up there in the list of world leaders when it comes to fridges (next to Ekeri) and Scania are arguably THE best truck manufacturers worldwide or at least in the EU, Volvo are really good too and are definitely up there almost next to them but Scania has taken the edge in the last 5 years.
Back to Cherau, they’re renowned for being extremely well built and quite heavy as a byproduct of their build quality, they’re still made to a very very high standard which really shows how committed they are in a day and age of overconsumption where most (if not almost all) things are made with an expiry date on them.
love to see rita and dave so excited to have their home
im glad the can roof was able to be saved, it's such a neat design! cant wait to see how trailer number 2 turns out this year
Thanks for another interesting, entertaining, and fun video. The tiny pig house is looking wonderful...so cozy and comfortable. If you don't mind, I wanted to make one suggestion: I think it could really use an overhang / porch at the entry door. It'll make a huge difference in the rain. Otherwise, you, your door, and your floor will get very wet. I noticed there was no overhang on the previous small builds either. Maybe something to consider for future builds?
The video team have been absolutely killing it for seasons 3 and 4! Consistently engaging and fun content - one of my favourite channels on TH-cam! Keep it up!
1:27 What a cute pony!
you dont imagine how happy i'm when i see new video from you guys
That's so exciting about removing the bark. It worked!
Thanks for the lovely background music, it sounds like a version of a Christian hymn I used to hear. Also after all the hard work to make the colorful house the interior now looks worthy of it, well done.
It's "Once In Royal David's City" I'm pretty sure
@@dancampbell189Yes, you’re correct. 😃
Would be great to see your health and safety practices uploaded as part of your toolkits for this stuff? As a casual observer it's hard to identify what you're doing to ensure site safety, and that's super important for a sustainable community. loving it all so far!
Perhaps put the rope you are pulling a tree with around a second tree so you can stand to the side of where the tree will fall.
Very nice to see the final touches on the pig trailer. Really feels like a home now! :)
I personally like the bread-transporting trailer, or as I call it, the Bread Box. The high ceiling would allow for a possible second floor if done right, and if it stays one floor, there could be storage up at the top along with a bed attached to the wall.
It's incredible the change that the pig trailer has gone through. Great job guys!
Great job on finishing the Pig trailer.. WOW, LOOKS FANTASTIK. Cant wait to see the Beef trailer😁😁👍👍🔨🔨🛠️🛠️🤙🤙🤙
Love the rug that matches the attitude of the outside. Love the drawers too! What a nice space for someone to call home
glad to see the basketball floor planks are still thriving with help, i think they were definitely one of the best deals
Pig trailer is very cosy! Luckily the inside has different colours than the outside ;)
My idea for the Mimosa would be to make Fences out of it ? Perhaps to surround the Fruittrees ? It would be more Esthetik then usefullnis but still would been an practical implication for it 👍
Nice to see you guys show the result with the house, must be a huge morale boost to those using it for winter, and good to get started early on another for next year!!
Must be very useful for the longtimers to reflect and plan during winter. With less social/big project time I hope you get chance to think about the smaller day to day QOL things that are needed.
Who gets to live in the next one? The first house was community led, but it would also be cool to have people lead the project for their own place, after all it will be their living space
I think you have officially earned the right to rename the pig trailer something more pleasant. 😂🥰🥰 Absolutely beautiful, Y'all are so inspiring!
Pig cabin? pig house? pig chalet? pig villa? pig condo? pig flat? pig inner sanctum? But, what is wrong with the word trailer?
How about "The Boars Bastion" Boar = another name for pig Bastion = another word for castle
Or in Spanish Cerdo's Castle
@@martinuso7446👍😛😅
Pig Hut! 🛖
More progress! Do consider planting shade trees for the outhouses, ours gets pretty hot and ripe at the end of summer and we plan our trips to the poo palace with the sun and shade…
The height of the pig trailer deffo lends itself to some hanging storage! very nice!
Nice to see Kevin's upcycle stand up to a repair.😊
I just love the enthusiasm all of you have. Working together is impressive. 👍👍😊❤️
The pig trailer looks so much cuter and cozier with the updated interior. Well done!
When ya'll debarked the mimosas I'm surprised nobody made baskets from the bark strips. Could have sold them to raise funds.
You would have to test them for bugs and mold and ect to export them, as it would be an organic product. Those are strictly regulated so it could be prohibitively expensive. And the carbon foot print for shipping could go against Project Kamp's objectives.
@@theeudaNot within the EU?
That would require someone to do some work,
the pig trailer turned out so lovely, for me it will probably always be the "Villa Kunterbunt"
Julie seems like the most skilled person on the kamp... She does almost everything
The colors on that trailer grab my eyes everytime :D
That truck seems like a great find. Seems so sturdy. I would suggest you do a roof terrace on it and actually, if you plan on putting it close ish to the pig trailer and even put more trucks around there in the future, you could give them all a roof terrace and link them all together with little bridges.
Love what you did with the pig trailer
The automatic closing door is a feat of engineering. Nice cosy space you have there 👍
Petition to rename Javi "Demolition Man"
Also, nice to see the Pig trailer project finally complete! It looks great, very cozy! Hope the trailer will serve you guys well for many more years!
The bathroom "sink" at the new outhouse needs to be a foot pump. No hands are getting clean post-poop with the jerry can spigot being touched last thing.
Damn, the pig trailer look sooo cozy!
The pig trailer turned out great! It's so unique and looks really cosey.
Can’t wait to see how the new trailer is transformed! 🤩 I love the second life you’re giving so many different items.
All hail the glorious algorithm! (And project kamp video's being back!)
Thanks Project Kamp! It's always great to see what you are learning. I love the action-research model you are working with.
did you check whether asbestos was used in the freezer or whether other harmful chemicals were used in its construction?
That is a good question.
They did actually, last year when they chose the pig trailer they also saw this one
I'm really impressed with how much work the people selling the truck were willing to put into getting it ready for you. Having access to power tools would have made that MUCH simpler than doing it in the kamp.
not like we didn't know it already ... but glad we "confirmed" dave and rita are living together and they call it "home" !!
It is always a happy day when a new Project Kamp video drops - also one that stars Rita Dave Julie Javier and Adrian :):)
I love ALL Project Kamp videos!
We are making saddel from plasticks for metal factories, and use 20 tons per week. Old plasticks.
Julie is a boss at fixin' stuff! Go team!
When it comes to disposing of the mimosa wood, it's classified as a hardwood so y'all could burn it and turn the ash into lye for soap making
The pig trailer is looking cozy !! Nice job on decorating
Phew! The can roof survived. One of my favorite examples of recycling valuable resources that make up a lot of our waste.
The wardrobe looks so fun, you guys never go voor the easy options:)
All hail, the algorithm! All hail, Adrian! All hail, Project Kamp!
“Rainbow Home” looks AMAZING! Tiny home indeed.
The pig trailer turned out really beautiful! Really congratulations to everyone who did that project!!! (I love that green truck! And Julie's repair skills!)
I LOVE THIS PROJECT, BEEN FOLLOWING SINCE YEAR 1!
Wonderful update! The pig trailer looks wonderful! Great to get a sneak peek into some things that (probably) happened over winter.
Pig trailer is adorable!!
you need a mulcher for all those mimosa trees. you can use the mulch to make paths, protect the soil and help it not get baked by the sun. it helps provide nutrients to your young fruit trees too. as well as protecting their roots by not allowing the sun to bake the ground surrounding the tree.
the scrapyard pony is adorable!
Stoked to see another big project house underway!
Great idea to build more space with old trailers. I'm looking forward to see how you do it!
A couple bike wheels and some of those Mimosa logs, and you could make a hand cart for moving the rest of the logs all over to where they need to go, with much lower people power required.
We need a trailer to be build to use it as an a short erm rental, for people who are just interested in seeing the community dynamics and the land evolve around them. Also you could make some profit of that to finance new projects.
I love the interior of the pig trailer house!
would be interesting to see alternate construction materials tested. maybe rammed earth, or earth bag, earth ship, or possible hempcrete. or hemp insulated walls. or like the hemp brick/lego style construction. ...lime plaster or adobe/ or other natural materials.... for maybe more permanent in place structures. A lot of the time the main obstacle is the labor. but if you have the bodies some of those technologies could be quite effective (if permissible by code)
Great job with the pig trailer! I hope the new one will not get too hot inside.
So excited for the new season! I just wanted to let you guys know that power washing surfaces to get rid of algea and such is (often) a very temporary solution as it creates even more surface area to adhere to, just in case you didnt know! Love from the Netherlands!
This old fridge box is a great choice. It seems It won't take so long to convert it to a cosy tiny house. Also i would love to see more precious plastic tools and stuff. I really like the Precious plastic roof tiles , hanger , hook , power sockets and light switches. Giving these upcycled materials a second life is priceless. Keep up the great work guys.
Greetings from Turkey

Here’s my algorithm comment, love this!
the flowers next to the pig trailer are so prettyyy❤❤
