The majority of students are going to the USA these days for 1. Their parents can flex and show off to others that their children are in the USA 2. Just because everyone else like their friends and colleagues is going. Earlier before 2000, people went to the USA since the Indian economy was not that great. But now, it is growing at a humongous number. Not everyone going to the USA is leading a great life with a good job. Not everyone who is settling in India is with a not a great career and job. Realize this, only a very few(less than 1%) folks go to the USA genuinely pursuing what exactly they want. Rest, are making it no less than a circus or fish market.

Yes. This trend started recently. Especially in Telugu states, the boys get higher dowry when they get a job in USA(whether legally or illegally is immaterial). The greedy parents by any means want to send their children to USA. Once the boy lands in USA (by any means), he will be put in the dowry market. After marriage, the wife will be taken to USA on spouse visa. As reported in the news papers in most cases, in the second year, the boy and his greedy parents bring pressure on the girl to bring more and more dowry. Such cases are increasing recently. The fault is with the greedy parents and the business minded consultancies.
Girl side parents are also equally greedy... nothing to point out only boy parents... Girl parents are only ready to give their girl to the boy working in USA most of them...

Reservation system is effecting original intellects, they are leaving the country as a whole. Defective education system should be changed, I noticed that many inter and degree students are also unable to read simple words, in schools also management is appointing low quality teachers at lesser wages, this is one of the main reason which is adversely effecting the quality of education.
