About how long does it take to roast a 5.5lb chicken this way so I know when to put it in the oven for guests. I heard the CSO can cook faster than regular oven. Don’t want to cook too early, also don’t want guests to wait. That’s always my challenge cooking with a probe instead of temp& time. Thanks.
Hi Karen, A 5+ lbs chicken can be roasted from start to finish in the Convection Steam oven in approximately 45 minutes. Additional time may be needed in order to brown the exterior of the chicken to how you would desire it, but the internal temperature will be achieve in that amount of time. Hi Michele, yes you are right! It is the transitional E-series model number CSO24TESTH. The Pro Handle is an accessory item, model number 826668, that can be installed after purchase.

It's not feasible to get a crispy skin all the way around the chicken this way. Only rotisserie will do that.
